How do you clean inhalers (not spacers)...if you're clumsy & drop them somewhere grubby?!
Hi there, I may be the clumsiest of asthmatics but wonder what you tend to do if you drop your inhaler (salbutamol/clenil modulite types) somewhere grubby and the canister pops out too. I tend to wash the main unit well with hot soapy water but don't know what to do about the canister part. Any suggestions

Scary experience with medication.
As someone with past heart conditions, I take several pills morning and nighttime. These include Bisoprolol which is a very tiny tablet. I often find this gets stuck on the back of my tongue so need water to flush it down. I also suffer from acid reflux which causes me to hiccup quite a lot. A few days

Trouble with New EasyChamber
Hi there. I’ve just had my spacer prescription changed from the old type to the new, anti-static one called, I believe, EasyChamber. It has a valve on top that regulates the out breath and I’m finding it difficult to use. Inhaling is fine but exhaling is like blowing through a straw or blowing up a balloon

Icy feeling in chest
Hi Everyone, I previously posted here when I was first given inhalers in 2020 to manage after-effects of COVID/pneumonia. I was on Flutiform 250mg x2 twice a day. They seemed to help a lot and eventually I stopped taking them just before Christmas. Recently I have noticed that when it is cold outside

Nasonex and brown inhaler
Hi, before being given my blue and brown inhaler, I was prescribed Nasonex steroid nasal spray, 2 puffs twice a day. I forgot to ask the Dr if I should carry on with it, now I’m on the brown inhaler daily 🤦♀️ Does anyone know if I should still be using the Nasonex ? Thank you

Are there any alternatives to inhalers?
Hello all, I am writing to ask if anyone has heard of Api-therapy to alleviate asthma attacks. My father has asthma, and the symptoms are getting worse. I am trying to find alternatives as the inhalers are not helpful anymore. I know Api-therapy uses bees products, and I am aware these can trigger

This is the third cough/ virus/ infection since November and they have knocked me for 6. Any advice?
Hi there. I am new to the site and consider myself to be healthy, but unlucky when it comes to illness. I was asthmatic as a child, spending time in hospital when I was very young, which was horrid. Anyway, over time asthma seemed to disappear and I went without use or need of an inhaler from my 20s

Symbicort Inhaler
Hello, advice please. I was diagnosed with asthma last May after being free from it for over 40 years. Have never seen a doctor as all doctor appointments were over the phone. I was initially given ventolin which helped a little but could not breathe properly and was taking it every 4 hours. After

Chest infection
Hello everyone I hope your all ok. I posted a few weeks ago about the bacterial chest infection I had. Well, 8 weeks on, 2 lots of antibiotics & 2 inhalers later, I was back at the doctors yesterday to be informed it still hasn't gone! My Dr also did blood tests, one for blood clots. That's come back

Need to start making some changes to help my asthma
Hi all, hope you are well. At the moment I'm really bad with taking my steroid inhaler, pretty overweight and I smoke. So I need to start helping myself. I'm going to the gym but I do very little cardio as I mainly lift weights. Any tips and advice would be great, I'm still waiting on my GP to help with

I’ve never been a great user of the “like” button, not because I don’t like posts but only because mostly I just nod or smile and move on. However, having had fifteen likes for a recent comment on frose’s inhaler post I’ll try to remember more often because it was so good to see them: reassuring me

Bronchiectasis
Hi, im still finding my way around on here. I was diagnosed with COPD in 2018 but today I was told that I also have bronchiectasis. I have been poorly on and off since October and have had a chest infection, been treated with steroids and antibiotics. The doctor has changed my inhaler from trimbow

Any tips on managing Autoimmune and Long Covid
I have 4 autoimmune diseases, Hashimotos, hyper parathyroid, coeliac disease and pernicious anaemia and now Long Covid which appears to have put all the rest into over drive. I desperately want to be seen not by the usual suspects of specialists endocrinologists, cardiologist, neurologist, opthamologist

CAN’T TOLERATE ALBUTEROL INHALERS - ALTERNATIVES? LOOKING FOR INFO/IDEAS.
Has anyone not been able to tolerate any Albuterol based inhalers due to tachycardia and arrhythmia issues? This has happened twice - and I am wondering what the alternative options are to these Albuterol based inhalers?
