Hi, before being given my blue and brown inhaler, I was prescribed Nasonex steroid nasal spray, 2 puffs twice a day. I forgot to ask the Dr if I should carry on with it, now I’m on the brown inhaler daily 🤦‍♀️ Does anyone know if I should still be using the Nasonex ?

Thank you

It’s very common to be on both but if in doubt contact your doctor. I wouldn’t stop either without your doctor saying so as the steroids take a while to build up and work.

Hi there, I have been on a brown steroid inhaler (pulmicort) and used a blue inhaler (bricanyl) for many years and was also given Nasonex for daily use about 4 years ago.

In other words, I am using both my asthma inhalers and my nose inhaler as they treat different problems.

The brown inhaler is for my asthma symptoms in my airways.

Nasonex is for my chronic sinus problems.

So my guess is that you should carry on with Nasonex but best check with your GP/ doctor.

It's not uncommon to be on both a nasal spray for sinus problems plus asthma inhalers for asthma. Regular use of both should control both issues.
