PAE and pudendal pain

THYROID PAIN
Hi. Thanks for looking at the question. I have an enlarged/swollen thyroid. The left side is painful and is slightly larger and more swollen than the right. The endocrinologist is not looking at an ultra sound scan. What are the chances I have a module? Am I looking to deeply into this? Thanks 😊

Adding radiation therapy to prostate cancer surgery has been a tough call. New science eases the dilemma
The meta-analysis, which included 2,153 patients followed for an average of five years, found that 88% of men who held off on radiation did not have a relapse, compared to 85% who had radiation soon after surgery. Among those who held off, 67% still didn't need radiation up to eight years later. Urinary

Bladder pain after lap?
Nearly 3 weeks post lap, adhesion to abdominal wall removed, no endo But I keep getting pain when I urinate every morning and discharge too. I used to get something like this back when all my problems started, thought it was an infection but everything came back clear and it eventually eased off but

Oncologist check up
Today, my mother and i went to her oncologist regarding her ct scan result. The oncologist said that the cancer came back and that we will be starting treatment again. He said that the same medicine will be used for her chemo. Anyone who has the same experience? I read that cancer can become resistant

PSA rose more with T < 3
Hey y'all, Been on Abiraterone since 01/20 and have had monthly PSAs done. The last one jumped from 5.2 to 9.2 - almost a doubling. Trying to navigate the Kaiser system to get another scan and proceed from there I'm inclined to rechallenge with Taxotere to refumigate my body for pests. Did 15 in

Cancer is Better Understood as a "Complex Adaptive System"
Recently received a valuable prospective from T_A in a recent discussion on the difficulties of hormonal adaptations of PC. He drew my attention to the view of cancer as a "complex adaptive system" (CAS). This is clearly a valuable perspective or lens through which to look at the bigger picture of cancer

Can you get impacted again even when on a movicol maintenance dose?
My daughter has been suffering from constipation for a year. In May we went through our third disimpaction routine. As part of it we kept her on a very high dose of movicol as well as Senna for a month. Then slowly slowly we brought it down to 4 sachets daily. In the last week or so, she’s been unable

Toilet training resources
Hi there, we recently toilet trained my son (he was 3 at the time but has just turned 4) but he is still struggling with doing a poo on the toilet. He has managed to do this twice but has had many accidents. When it’s obvious he needs to go you can almost see a look of panic come over him and he’ll disappear

DECIPHER risk
Does anyone know, do DECIPHER post prostatectomy results assessing metastatic and PCSM risk reflect the prostatectomy treatment or do those numbers assess the risk of the tumor tissue without regard to treatment? In other words, are those the risk numbers as if I had done nothing in terms of treatment

How to get 3yo with temp to drink?
Any ideas how to persuade sick daughter to drink? She’s three years old and running a fever with no other symptoms so just letting it run it’s course. But she’s refusing to drink I’ve managed to get her to take a tiny bit of water all day and even tried offering an electrolyte type drink which she usually

Is VERU-111 (Novel Oral Tubulin Inhibitor) similar to Fenbendazole or Mebendazole?
Does anyone have enough background to tell me if this looks like something similar to fenbendazole and/or mebendazole? VERU-111 is an oral, next-generation, first-in-class selective small molecule that targets and binds to the alpha and beta-tubulin subunits of microtubules in cells. Microtubules are

Gallbladder Inflammation
Hello Just got results of abdomen ultrasound. It shows gallbladder inflammation with no Gallstones. The pain is more of an ache and was wondering if I should adopt a watch and wait approach. I have been referred to a surgeon. Has anyone experience of inflammation going away on its own?i

CA125 increasing, no symptoms, 7 years remission
My mother was diagnosed with stage 3C endometrial cancer. She underwent TAHBSO, had 6 cycles of chemo and 25 sessions of radiotherapy. Then we had monitoring. Everything is well until 2years ago, her CA125 started to increase. It will increase by 6, then decreas by 2 on the next check. I was worried.
