High PSA
I am on various other drugs (Amitriptyline - for tingling in my feet and legs, Tamsulosin & Finasteride for assistance with urination, Alendrodic Acid for
Osteopenia
and Ferrous Fumarate to boost my haemoglobin levels which are still not up to normal although I have not needed any blood transfusions

Vitamin D
Had I not broken my wrist would not have found out as my bone density scan said that my Osteoporosis has now changed to
Osteopenia
, my Risidronate was stopped at my previous visit & so now I have to get Vitamin D supplements.

Horlicks for osteopenia?
Diagnosed with PMR and GCA in January, 2015, an early DEXA scan showed up
osteopenia
and I was prescribed Calceos tablets. My diet had been rather lacking in dairy so I increased my intake of cheese, butter and milk etc. only for my usually low cholesterol levels to shoot up to 5.9.

Anxious
I have been told by my gyno to stop my HRT and not to get any any more injections because I have just recently been diagnosed with
osteopenia
. I am feeling anxious about this as I have been getting my injections every 3 months backed with HRT for nearly 3 years now. I am 45 years of age.

Xtandi, Xgeva, and Dental
I had been on Xgeva for a year and a half, stopping in August, 2015, and on Fosamax for 7 1/2 years for
osteopenia
, stopping that about 8 years ago.

Alternative therapies
I'm 68 and have no other major medical issues, other than a diagnosis of
osteopenia
, plus a few prednisone side effects.

Osteopenia in mice related to suppressed TSH even after replacement therapy
It's uncomfortable reading for me, as I have
osteopenia
after years (at least 20) of being TSH almost undetectable (around 0.01or 0.02). You could say these are mice, we are people, but we share probably 97% DNA and we are mammals like them.

Total LAVH hysterectomy with adhesiolysis - still in pain
I was diagnosed with
osteopenia
whilst still menstruating so that is a major concern for me going forward. As seems to be typical with the NHS, I was not given much guidance as to how much pain I should expect post surgery.

Low PSA with a Gleason 8 diagnosis
At that time I was also diagnosed with
osteopenia
, a precursor to full-blown osteoporosis, so I enjoyed three years of quarterly Zometa infusions.

Osteoporosis diagnosis
However have just had dexa scan and am borderline between
osteopenia
and osteoporosis. Just on the wrong side of the line. Hips are in the
osteopenia
range but most of the vertebrae L1-l4 are in the osteoporosis range. Consulted with my doctor.

Legs again.....
And finally, the results of my dexascan were available and no signs of osteoarthritis or
osteopenia
, so no need to take AA! Hoorah! Will continue with the Calcium and VIT D tablets. Thank you for your previous advice, suggestions and support. This is such a good place to share! Linda

I posted 2 months ago that taking a calcium supplement (for diagnosed
osteopenia
) had stopped my IBS-d completely. That is still the case, which is great. Whole new set of problems now. Anal fissure and piles.

Osteopenia
I've started to feel slight pain in my hip that's where the
osteopenia
is. I take calcium every day and calcium cell salts and exercise daily. What should I do?

Early days ...
A month ago I had a scan for bone density, I have
osteopenia
. Because of this I have started a calcium supplement. My diarrhoea has stopped, I have formed bowel movements. This week I only had one Imodium. I can't really believe it, and am waiting for that explosion.

Hypothyroid and Osteopenia-NDT or Armour from abroad?
Dear Fellow sufferers- I am so worried about my health, having been on Thyroxine for about 25 years, but now, having had probably too much of it as compensation (very low TSH) I have developed
osteopenia
- the stage before osteoporosis, having had three small fractures last year-and just very recently
