Low bone density due to high levels of natural fluoride in drinking well water?
I am apparently just short of
osteopenia
She has prescribed alendronic acid , calcium carbonate /vit D which I am happy with. I grew up in the suburbs of Montreal age 2 to 13 in the 50's where our drinking water supply was from a well (civilised electric pump!)

Drugs or no drugs
What is best for
osteopenia
to prevent osteoporosis? I'm getting a Whole body vibration machine in hopes it will help. I also walk and exercise. Has anyone tried WBV and has it helped. I'm currently on prolix, but would like to stop as it's been 2 years. Any suggestions?

Bio-Identical Estrogen Safety
I have
osteopenia
and I'm post menopausal. At the age of 64, is it safe for me to take bio-identical hormones for my bones? I have been without synthetic HRT for about two years and my bones are falling apart. Are there any studies on bio-identical HRT?

Xgevia for osteopenia?
So, I am recently diagnosed with stage IVb; largest mets are L shoulder blade and posterior 9th rib. Smaller in 3 other ribs and ischium. On DEXA, only femur neck numbers were low, -1.1 and -1.6. Dr. put in for Prolia, twice yearly. Insurance will only cover for Xgevia, 4 X a year. Wondering if that's

After a diagnosis of osteoporosis in his early 30s, he went on to not only heal himself but he’s now dedicated his life to helping people fix their bone health, overcome
osteopenia
and osteoporosis and strengthen their bones which is what we are discussing in this interview.

Calcium needed or not…?
Showed mild
Osteopenia
. Was told to take 1,000 mg / day to help prevent degrading into Osteoporosis as taking Prednisone can progress that disease. So, started reading scientific papers.

Reclast Infusion
Hi, My Dexa scan showed
osteopenia
I have fractured both my hips and right foot. I canceled my infusion today because my Dexa really didn’t show osteoporosis yet and the bad reviews on the infusion. Anybody have information on their infusion experience? Thank you. Stephanie

Pressure from dr to go on meds. DEXA worse every time. Severe osteoporosis on every measure. Drug side effects or risk of fractures? Arrgh!
But had I done them more consistently I might have been scared straight at
osteopenia
(and started calcium + D) instead of dealing with full-blown osteoporosis now. I stupidly wanted to avoid radiation but after those fractures in my spine, I had tons of radiation.

Denosumab, is it worth it
The side effects run from annoying to horrible (ONJ) I had both types of bone scans recently including bone density and I do not have
osteopenia
or osteoporosis. I do have about 6 bone mets including one that was responsible for a pathological fracture but this was a real fluke.

Prolia and Osteoporosis
I took the shots for two years and my osteoporosis actually turned into
osteopenia
. My doctor stopped the shots for two years. Well, next bone scan showed osteoporosis in my hip and spine! Now my doctor is suggesting taking the Prolia again.

Trip Tips?
I’m 71 and run mainly to maintain bone health (I gave
osteopenia
) so could do without a repeat. I have a reputation for tripping- even when walking. Besides remembering to pick my feet up at every step, what can I do? Any footwear better than another? Anything else? Knee and elbow protectors?
