What is best for osteopenia to prevent osteoporosis? I'm getting a Whole body vibration machine in hopes it will help. I also walk and exercise. Has anyone tried WBV and has it helped.
I'm currently on prolix, but would like to stop as it's been 2 years. Any suggestions?

A WBV is not good for anyone--they can even cause detached retinas. I considered getting a Marodyne LiV (low intensity vibration) plate, but they are expensive and I have decided to try a few other things first.
Hi toxaway17, are you talking about Prolia (denosumab)? Please don't discontinue your twice-yearly injections without consulting with your health care provider. Missing a dose by even a few weeks can cause rapid lose of bone density and increased risk of fractures. Your health care provider can arrange for a course of treatment to keep you from undoing any gains you might have gotten from Prolia so you don't end up worse than before.
Have you gotten your bone density tested in the 2 years since you started Prolia? It's always good to monitor your progress. americanbonehealth.org/calc...
I also recommend you use the American Bone Health Fracture Risk Calculator™ to estimate your risk of breaking a bone in the next 10 years. This information can help guide your treatment since there are many factors involved in your fracture risk besides just your bone density.
