Recently had a scan and have been diagnosed with osteopenia. Doctor prescribed Fosamax. Sounds like phosphate. Is ot compatible with CK 3b?

There are many drugs which have similar-sounding names. I took Fosamax for several years for osteopenia and osteoporosis to strengthen bones. I had to change to a stronger med. this year.

Fosamax (alendronate) is used for osteopenia/osteoporosis.

With CKD stage 3b, monitor kidney function closely and consult your doctor for specific advice.
