Hi, So I take tramadol which isn't actually an opiate but does share some characteristics with them. For me it helps the pain and doesn't mess my bowels up the way cocodamol does.
I used to use NSAIDs like naproxen and ibuprofen which are best started before pain kicks off but I became allergic to them do they are no longer an option for me.
The Endometriosis uk website has a bit on pain management which would be worth reading
Hello Joane,I have found the Be You strips from Amazon really helpful, and CBD, weather topically applied or ingested to help, as well as heat pads. Also the Dr put me on amitrptyline, which helped. I hope this helps, good luck, sending you light and love
Hi thank you for replying I will have a look at the strips as I’ve never heard of them. I have tried CBD but didn’t notice much difference I’m not sure if it because I’m so used to strong painkillers!
I do already take Amytriptaline for anxiety but only 20mg so I don’t know if the dosage is different for pain.
Yes, I guess so, I’ve had both, they work in similar ways to divert pain, it’s just the Livia was more discreet and I could walk round with it on (just at home) instead of being bed ridden for days. Actually I found the best way to reduce symptoms long term was to completely overhaul my diet. Lots of books out there and diets to try. Good luck. Nina
Been taking naproxen for the past year as I found normal painkillers weren't helping. Take 3 a day. It did help the symptoms of nausea i was experiencing. Heat pad helps. In the past I use to use to do castor oil packs as they are meant to help but we are suppose to use these prior to ovulation. Check how to do on YouTube, suppose to help endo.
