Bad day - coccyx and thighs - and now a headache!
I'm trying to get essential things done, but my headache is really getting to me - as is my coccyx. Not looking forward to the journey tomorrow, although it's shorter than most and Mark is an excellent driver - and I don't think we use the Dartford crossing this time! The floor and sofa are still very

how's this for depressing?
any decent rls expert should know the opiods/
opiates
are a valuable club in the bag. this sadly confirms my suspicion that my doctor is *not* an rls expert. and there goes my last hope of finding real relief. oh well. i shouldn't complain. at least i can get through the night.

low dose naltrexone - much safer than steroids & may work for pmr
I had this research recommended to me and have taken it to my doctor to see what he thinks about using this to get off low dose steroids. I am copying the info here so that anyone who want to can investigate it themselves. There hae been good results with eliminating inflammation in rheumatoid arthritus

Mercy Killing in Europe
Here water and food are withdrawn. when death is near.at hand this can cause great distress when it is applied, or they see patients over with overdoses of
opiates
with the patient is in pain. This happens now and is mercy killing in all but name.

Anyone Have Experience of Fibro Treatment/Help @ P'boro Hosp?
Hi, I'm in Ramsey near Huntingdon, I was dx'd with fibro after more than 30 years of seeing every specialist in this country and some in America too - worryingly, the dx was made within minutes by a rheumatologist at Hinch, then again (when Hinch didn't folllow up) by another rheumy at Addenbrookes

TRAMADOL
Did anyone see the news yesterday regarding TRAMADOL (ZYDOL), I wonder what the problem is now with this opiate,. It has been the main medication for chronic pain for quite a few years now, many of us rely on this medication to get through the day. We all know what med we will have too take if this one

RLS is there hope?
I know it will not work and I believe the next stage will be drugs from the
opiates
. I am loosing weight now, however I probably now don't have enough calories and this has depleted my energy further.

I feel like I'm going through hell...and I have no one to talk to
Not only that, but I cannot take
opiates
now so I am forced to cope with strong anti-inflammatories and paracetamol. The pain is indescribable and I cant work. There has been talk of a hysterectomy but I'm only 27 and desperate for a family. Does anyone else have a similar situation?

Trust Your Pharmacist?
Undercover reporters were sold Valium,
opiates
and other controlled drugs without prescription at nine pharmacies. Shadow health secretary Andy Burnham MP has demanded an urgent review, claiming watchdogs may not be "fit for purpose".

Chronic Pain Syndrome & Mental Health - Getting the NHS to look at You rather than Your 'Label'
None of the pain medication including morphine & other
opiates
, I have been prescribed have had any real effect on the pain, apart of course from the fact I was 'up there with Lucy' in the sky of diamonds & didn't really give 2 monkeys!

Pain Negatively Affects Cognition in Fibromyalgia
"Our hypothesis was the opposite — that
opiates
disrupt cognitive function — but it makes sense; it reduces pain intensity so people can concentrate better," said Dr. Duschek.

Itching with morphine and Oxycontin
Unfortunately I have no response from most analgesics, and I tend to avoid things unless my pain is really bad. (I have tried regular doses.) However, taking an opiate at night can keep me awake literally all night with itching all over my body. Antihistamines and local applications have been unsuccessful

Help and information needed please
Whats concerning me the most is, I have read that
opiates
can help relive the symptoms but I am on a very strong opiate medicine and it dosnt seem to help. Should I go to my doctor and explain this to them? Are UK doctors up to date with this syndrome?

Severe tiredness due to opiates and prgabalin. Any suggestions?
Hi all :-) I have posted a couple of times but wanted to make this one more specific to the energy loss because of pain meds. My pain is reasonably well controlled but I have NO energy. I sleep everywhere and anywhere! Does anyone else experience this? I understand it is the lesser of two evils, but
