Opiates

Do you feel heavy breathing by taking opiates or drugs for neurophatic pain? This tend to disappear? After i take Pregabalin I felt I really scared, especially anxious and restless all the time. Do you have this side effects with this drugs?

My research suggests that supervised use of mild opiates is rarely a problem, and that it's the unsupervised use of recreational opiates which leads to addiction.

I am normailly on a daily basis, a load of strong opiates for pain control (Tapentadol and Gabapentin). Apparently, cos I can't remember doing it, I was signing with my hands, the name of my son. The nurse looking after me brought me a pad and pen.

I am baffled as the pain level has increased and the co codamol are not working and between us ( the GP and I ) are trying to avoid going on to opiates. Not sure if that is the right word.

I never take opiates, even codeine, but I take upwards of 18 Zomig every month (which I know is far too much, but what can you do when you have a busy life and are trying to function as well as possible?)

My doctor says I have a paradoxial effect because I dont get tired on opiates. They actually give me energy and life. Also due to the bone degeneration from teh osteoporosis I wouldnt be able to stand with the vertibrae in my lower back always rubbing on each other.

Painkillers are opiates from the same family as heroin so why is there no help for me? I feel lost and helpless which is hard to admit for a 56-year-old man. My GP would never agree to help me as he stereotypes me and just thinks that I am after something else to give me a high.

I had this research recommended to me and have taken it to my doctor to see what he thinks about using this to get off low dose steroids. Here water and food are withdrawn. when death is near.at hand this can cause great distress when it is applied, or they see patients over with overdoses of opiates with the patient is in pain. This happens now and is mercy killing in all but name.

Did anyone see the news yesterday regarding TRAMADOL (ZYDOL), I wonder what the problem is now with this opiate,. It has been the main medication for chronic pain for quite a few years now, many of us rely on this medication to get through the day. We all know what med we will have too take if this one

I know it will not work and I believe the next stage will be drugs from the opiates. I am loosing weight now, however I probably now don't have enough calories and this has depleted my energy further.

Not only that, but I cannot take opiates now so I am forced to cope with strong anti-inflammatories and paracetamol. The pain is indescribable and I cant work. There has been talk of a hysterectomy but I'm only 27 and desperate for a family. Does anyone else have a similar situation?
