Good result from seeing rheumatologist this afternoon
Well, that was a good consult, I will soon be starting on etanacept, lets hope it works better than the enbrel. Was told that some of may pain is due to having a big fibro flare up at the same time. To tide me over until I get the injections, I was asked if I would like a steroid jab..... no prizes

And the wait goes on!
Sing this to the tune of And the Beat goes on! Went to the hospital for pre op assessment for my foot. Very surprised to find the nurse was filling in a brand new form. Asked why the old one couldn't be updated and she told me that when the operation was cancelled in July, I came off the waiting list

Been wearing sandals for the last 3 months already, no closed ill fitting shoes or boots. I have also not hurt or bumped my feet. I am going to see the podiatrist next but was curious to know if anybody had experienced this. Thanks

knowing the difference between RA pain, and OA (osteoarthritis) pain
I have OA & RA, and am really suffering badly at the moment. I see my consultant on the 25th. My RA nurse once said that the 'feel' of an inflammation is different (RA joint feels soft/spongy, OA feels hard), but how can I differentiate pain? As I have both RA & OA in my hands for instance... my fingers

getting it right
Next week will be 3 yrs since diagnosed :( I was put onto MXT.. then later on, onto Leflunomide. Then late last year, that was stopped and I was given Enbrel,(after having ultrasound scans= active inflammation) this July review and the RA consult said it was not working as it should, so I was prescribed

Six months on Enbrel and good feedback from Rheumatology appointment.
Hello all, I've had some ups and downs whilst being on Enbrel this last six months, but I would say there are are more ups than downs. To start with I don't have any stiffness at all and my pain levels are reduced. However, I had a bad flare-up a few weeks ago and discovered from the clinical nurse that

Waiting some more
Just to let you know that I saw my Rheumy last Thursday. Apparently I have Methotrexate Pneumonitis which has caused the lung inflammation so I am off MTX permanently. He is also referring me to the Chest consultant at the N & N Hospital, Norwich for lung function tests and for the chest consultant

RA and painful fingers where all the finger joints lock on both hands, some more than others.
Can anyone please adivise if they have had this problem and what kind of treatment did they receive? My fingers lock and I find it extreamly painful when I try to open them, this happens throughout the day and at night when I am asleep. I would appreciate any suggestions, I am taking Ibruprofen and other

I have been on Enbrel for about nine months now and my kidney functions are getting bad. Has anyone else had problems with kidneys failing?
My feet and ankles have also swollen up so I cannot wear shoes.

PREDNISONE TAPERING
Do to a recent flare up after a Remicade treatment, roughly a week later, not because the Remicade. I had to increase my prednisone up to 32 mgs from 29 to where I was trying to drop it from 30mgs. I call it the itch, the feeling when you know the ulcerations are coming through and you cant stop them

STRICKLY.....Week 5? Dance 4? WITH LORET AND ANTON IN 'OKLAHOMA'
The stage is set! With covered wagons forming a half-circle, the towns' people gathered in groups around center stage, Anton and I arrive by horse and buggy, the one with the fringe on top, into the cheering crowd, all gathered to celebrate the admission of their new state to the Union. Anton

FEELING POORLY :(
Hi all I've had this cold virus for about a week now. I have been feeling bad since Friday. I ache all over, my head hurts, as well as my back. Gp offered me my flu jab on Friday, but I felt to awful to have it, so I have postponed it for a couple of weeks. Hopefully I will be over this virus by then

We are standing in the wing. Close Oh so close. I can see Enbrel has a small rivulet of perspiration running down his glorious chest. Our clothes are tight fitting yet at the same time diaphanous. Ohhhhh I feel suddenly so nervous my hand wanders to the ostrich plume which caresses my Brest.. The
