does everyone take methotrexate?
hi all, I’ve been having a bit of a rough ride with RA recently, i don’t seem to be able to get my condition under very good control unless I take methotrexate with a biologic. I took methotrexate for 10 years (tolerated but lots of side effects) but then after 10 years the side effects became too

CHANGE OF BIOLOGIC TREATMENT
Hello, I have had Rheumatoid arthritis since my late 30s (77 now). I had several biologic treatments , some of which did not really control the RA well… The best biologic was Enbrel (Etanercept) weekly injections. It gave me my life back for 14 years until I had my second knee replacement operation

Switching from Enbrel to Benepali
Questions a) Does anyone know if there are any alternative delivery mechanisms available for Enbrel (it seems to be possible to get 2 different mechanisms for Benepali) ? b) We live in the West Midlands, UK. Has anyone else been asked to switch meds recently? c) Price differential between Enbrel

Travelling with Benepali/Enbrel from Dublin to Thailand
Hi all, I need to make a trip in 2 weeks to thailand and the travelling time will be around 16 -17 hours. It will also be my first time travelling with the pens, and I'm a bit freaked out. I have the DR letter, the supply and all in order but I dont know which the most efficient way to carry it

Hi, I have had RA for approx 5 years. After bad side effects from Methotrexate, my Dr decided to try Humira injections. Humira did not work at all - no relief. The next medication to try was Enbrel. The Enbrel injections were easy and effective for awhile, but Enbrel stopped working after one year

CLL AND RA
About five years ago I was diagnosed with CLL, a high WBC but it is steady, I am getting no treatment, just monitoring for now. This month I was diagnosed with severe RA ,with a sudden onset four months ago. Treatment so far is Enbrel and prednisone. I'm working on tapering off the prednisone, and now

Tocilizumab - dizzyness and dry skin

remission then Rituxan again
I have had RA for 23 years. I actually went into remission 3 1/2 years ago and stopped Rituxan and methotrexate during that time. Then I get my second Covid and the Ra returned. I am back on Rituxan but it doesn’t seem to be slowing the Rituxan. Since I have not had the drugs in my body how long

Hello and thank you for reading or responding. I am 59 and have been on a 2 year journey to get a diagnosis. That’s a long story but now with a move to a new city and a new rheumatologist I am told I have Sjorgrens, a strongly positive diagnosis and RA with a non typical presentation. I am negative for

What's Normal.
Hey guys advice required. I'm 45 yo female diagnosed 6years ago. Sero negative inflammatory arthritis Two issues as such. 1 Was told last week that after six years of pred it's likely my body doesn't produce it's own steroids and I'll probably have to take 5mg pred forever. Anyone else in this boat

Baricitinib experiences please. The good, the bad and the ugly (also excellent would be great)
Hi all, just going through a 2 week wash ready to switch from Enbrel to Baricitinib. The new tablets have arrived and I've managed to freak myself out reading all the side effects. How have people on it found it? The occurrance of thrombosis seems pretty high for instance. Also on a vain level rather

Jak2 Inhibitors
Hi I was wondering what your experience of these drugs are. My Rheumy is considering putting me on them. I was on enbrel for 17 years till it stopped working. I’ve been o. Rituximab for 18 months but it doesn’t really help and my R.a. D damage has deteriorated. I would really appreciate your comments

Pain Relief Suggestions
Hello Everyone My first time posting, but i do read the posts that are relevant. Bit of background first: I am hoping for some new ideas. I have had RA since 2010, beautifully controlled by Enbrel. Unfortunately a few years ago I was told I had to go onto a bio similar. I was very anxious about changing

Very low iron at same time as previously controlled rheumatoid arthritis is now very much out of control.
I've been diagnosed with RA and Lupus for over 35 years. I went through most of the known drugs over many years before being accepted on Enbrel which was amazing and gave me back a quality of life I never thought I regain. However I was switched to Benopali under the assumption it was the same generic

eyes- optician unable to correct my vision so all images (close and far) are blurry
Has anyone else been told it’s not their eye health but vaguely something to do with your other health issues….went for my two year check up. Had noticed vision quite fuzzy. Varifocals prescription changed. Had varifocals for about 16 years so used to them. Found getting nauseous. Like motion sickness
