Rock bottom: any ideas?
Hi I'm new here. So, first of all, apologies for a long and depressing post! A little about me: I'm 35, have had seronegative RA since my early 20s. No kids, but a lively dog. Have tried many meds: methotrexate, sulfasalzine, plaquenil, humira, enbrel and orencia - with no real improvement. Just horrible

Benepali,,,not been my pal(i)
Hi guys, I'm new here and have already gained so much help reading all your posts. I like many, was switched to Benepali in Feb 2017, after almost 4 years on Enbrel for my AS condition(I'm a 50yr female btw). I was shifted just via a letter saying this is happening, end of! Enbrel worked like a dream

Exhausted!
Hello everyone! I just took my third Enbrel shot on Friday and I can't say I've noticed any big improvements, but I know it can take 3 months to see if it's working, so I guess that's pretty common. I've been so exhausted the last couple of weeks. I think the steroid shot I got last month has finally

Too sore to sleep
Hello all, it's 4 am here and I am awake from the pain and exhausted, but hurting too much to fall back to sleep. We have had thunderstorms for several days in a row and my pain seems to be peaking right now. I can barely keep my eyes open, but can't sleep. So irritating! I started Enbrel almost 3 weeks

new to health unlocked.
Hi all, I'm new here. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis 3 year ago. I have been on a variety of unsuccessful treatments, ended up quite poorly with cryptogenic organising pneumonia!! (there's a mouth full). Have been on Enbrel since last September and it is working fabulously, I have just received

Apparently it is time for another medication - Benepali
After feeling rubbish with lots of tendon pain for months and with some help from this group I realised it could be related to coming off Humira (which wasn't thought to be helping me enough to warrant cost & risks). So a visit with my Rheumatology nurse last Friday pretty much confirmed it - DAS was

Cheers!
I have been on methotrexate since January of this year and didn't respond to it. So I'm changing to a half dose of methotrexate and adding Enbrel. I haven't had alcohol since I started on methotrexate because of the chance of liver damage. So it may seem silly, but I'm very excited to be able to have

Headache , want to try some folic acid .
Hi all , I am on Methotrexate , Humira (switching to Enbrel on Monday ) , folic acid twice a week (5mg tabs). I have been getting heaps of headaches , for a while now . I have been reading and few people have suggested maybe it's the methotrexate . I try to drink a fair amount of water on my meth day

My daughter
Hello, I am here for my 8 year old daughter who has been battling JIA for 7 + years. She is currently taking methotrexate and was on enbrel but had some sort of allergic reaction so we are stopping it. I would love to hear from people with similar stories or maybe even some medication recommendations

Transition to Benepali, update.
Some weeks ago there was a post expressing concern about being asked to move from the original etanercept, Enbrel, to the bio similar, Benepali. If not already most enbrel users will be asked to change to Benepali because the cost implications for the NHS. At that time I had just begun Benepali injections

Get rid of RA!!
I was diagnosed with RA 10 years ago, Have been using Enbrel with good results, however I don't want to be drug dependent so have been taking measures with diet to stop the disease. I can tell you that eliminating sugar, nightshade vegetables, gluten and any processed food makes a big difference.

Cimzia? Help !
Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with Anklosing Spondylitis a few months ago...My specialist prescribed Enbrel, but for some reason my insurance denied it, so he then prescribed Cimzia injections. I am scheduled to get my first injection this Friday and I was wondering what the side effects are, if any

Tocilizumab 1 year on
Started infusions of Tocilizumab last May. Had been on Rituximab briefly and before that enbrel for a couple of mths. Diagnosed in March 2014 with inflammatory RA or RD to give it it more apt name. For first 3-4mths on Tocilizumab my life was transformed and I was near normal. Then september
