Olaparib? Chemo? or both ?
Go for
Olaparib
alone 2. Go for Chemo alone 3. Go for both , i guess that would be Chemo followed by
Olaparib
We are not considering Lu-177 as of now as our MO has clearly stated that Lu-177 comes after Chemo , should we also be considering on this right now?

Olaparib
hasn’t worked for me! I’m BRAC2 it should have done!

Lynparza for bone/liver mets - success?
I will be switching from Enhertu (was on Enhertu for a year) to lynparza/
olaparib
. Has anyone had success with a parp helping get rid of bone/ liver metastasis for stage 4 breast cancer? Or keeping things stable? And if so, for how long? Thanks for any info and/or experiences.

Elevated ASTs/ ALTs on Lyparza/ Olaparib
Hello everyone, My dad started
Olaparib
/ Lynparza about 5 weeks ago for the BRCA2 mutation. He is tolerating it well without side effects thus far. Has anyone ever had elevated LFT's with this medication?

Recurrence :(
I then went on to
Olaparib
, initially with avastin, and have done about 1 year 10 months of that, but my last 2 blood tests showed my CA125 was rising and a scan showed that I have a recurrence in my stomach lining and (I think) something in my liver.

Constipation from PARPS
Can you tell me your experience about being on
Olaparib
. Seems more people have diarhea than constipation. I am in Canada and I am followed by a nurse who takes care of the patients on PARPS. I haven't had the chance to speak with her because of the holidays.

Coming off Olaparib
I'm in a bit of a tailspin as I may need to stop taking
Olaparib
due to breathlessness side effect. It's taken me back to all those worries about survival rates (I have Stage 4a ovarian cancer).

Caelyx and hair loss
I'm still asymptomatic thanks to
Olaparib
and Avastin. Just got my hair back, didn't came as it was before. this second time came much thinner. It might sound redundant as im facing serious illness: I really don't want to loose this hair.

Good news
After a debulking surgery, pleural infusion drainage, and chemo, she started taking
Olaparib
and the disease has been stable since. I just wanted to share the good news with you, as she had a PET scan this month, 4 years from the diagnosis, and it showed stable disease!!!

Lynparza/ Olaparib
Hi everyone- after my dad met with his oncologist regarding the mild progression he had- he will be switching to Lynparza/
Olaparib
for the BRCA2 gene. He was on Ibrance, Letrozole, and Lupron for 15/16 months started in June of 2022, but she feels it is time for a switch.

Ovarian cancer recurrence
I had an ultra radical debulking surgery in August that year, followed by 6 rounds of carbo/taxol and maintenance via
olaparib
. I had a CT scan back in August which highlighted a mass on the wall of my stomach.

Dad with Stage 4 PCa - Need some words of wisdom...again please!
A liquid biopsy was carried out last week, waiting on results for BRCA2 (to see if he qualifies for
olaparib
(Lynparza®).

Recap and update
I have consented to Avastin and
Olaparib
. Onc said I could ask for second opinion from Christina Fitapalou but she said surgery would be radical with no guarantees she will get it all.

Questions for those currently on or have tried Olaparib or Rucaparib PARP inhibitors. Recently published study on Rucaparib.
Looking at the NCCN guidelines, which my husband's MO refers to often, they suggest
Olaparib
(Lynparrza) before chemo and Rucaparib (Rubraca) after chemo. They also list two other newer drugs.

Genetic testing ordered by the Mayo has determined that I'm a candidate for
Olaparib
, and I expect to discuss this at my consultation with Dr. Kwon at the Mayo next week. I would be interested in any views on the back and knee soreness, which has quite drastically reduced my "quality of life".

Leukemia as a side effect of Olaparib
After 3 months I'll have a bone marrow biopsy to see if going off
olaparib
is really what caused it. I'm crushed. I may be approaching that tiny category of patient who gets AML as a side effect of my "life saving"
olaparib
. Is anyone else here with me? Or heard of anyone else who is?
