Hello, do you find the cost of olaparib very high?
I have been prescribed
olaparib
and my insurance covers it, but my cost is extremely high. I am trying for assistance.

Next steps after cabazitaxel
They have identified me as a candidate for
Olaparib
, based on genetic tests. I'd welcome thoughts on that, and generally on where we might go when the chemo ends, or before it ends. I should add that I'm also on Zoladex injections every three months and have been for several years. Thanks again.

I would like to go again to
olaparib
/ avastin because clearly slows down the progression of disease.

Run out of big pants
Read about
Olaparib
being given to HRD positive cancer but I know nothing about this and other than the Brac test never been mentioned, could they test for this so far down the line ? Not ready to give up yet but feel all the doors are closing on me.

Olaparib side effects - cough and breathlessness
I've been taking
Olaparib
since May this year and have had a constant cough and breathlessness. It's getting me down a bit and I was wondering if anyone else has had this side effect and how long it lasted x

Hi fellow
Olaparib
users . I’ve been on
Olaparib
for 3 .5 years now . Recently developing bouts of gut discomfort and diarrhoea. Have to say up until now on the drug , it’s always been rather the opposite . On the literature it says diarrhoea is a common side effect .

My mother's good news
The doctors said she will stop taking
Olaparib
(after 3+ years on it.) We are so happy and grateful for these good results, and we hope they continue after stopping
Olaparib
! Wishing you all the best, Milena

Update
I am going to have 1 more round of carbo, just so that I am eligible to have
Olaparib
plus I will have three weekly infusions of Avastin. I am totally gutted with the outcome and am struggling to regain the positivity I felt going into surgery. It was not what I was expecting. x

Olaparib side effects
I'm about to start
Olaparib
. I expect side effects, but when will they kick in? Immediately or after a few days or weeks? I know everyone is different but I'm keen to hear of your experiences!

clinical trials and dropped off a cliff
Five years ago I joined the Astra Zeneca clinical trial of
Olaparib
with Zytiga, through my oncologist at Fox Chase in Philadelphia. Earlier this year A-Z ended the trial and applied for FDA approval of the combo, it does seem to help some of us.

3rd recurrence
But now her avastin and
olaparib
options are done. What next now ?? And one more thing I wanted to mention that she has responded to chemo quite well everytime. Do we have any immunotherapy left now ? I'm little panicking right now. Need your advice.

Checkpoint inhibitor after PARPi - anybody?
I have been on
Olaparib
for 2 years, but PSA is rising. We know PARPi upregulates PD-L1 - thus priming the cells? Has anybody tried Pembro after
Olaparib
?

What else is available?
A year on Avastin and
Olaparib
with progression. Then my onc tried Carboplatin and then Caelyx neither of which worked and the size of my tumour is what it was at the start of treatment. I’ve never had surgery.

There is the option of adding

Rechallenging with a previously failed treatment?
For example, I was on
Olaparib
(being BRCA2+) successfully for 18 months before it failed. Now there are treatments/trials combining
Olaparib
with another med like Abiraterone, which I had also previously failed as a mono therapy. Could a combo now possibly benefit me???
