Info about my B cells following 3 1/2 yrs off Ocrevus
Hi, I saw an immunologist at the Mayo clinic and finally got some answers as to why my B cells did not come back 3 1/2 yrs since my last O infusion. She sees a lot of this and some NEVER get their B cells back. There's no rhyme or reason, possibly a genetic difference but that hasn't been worked out

Ocrevus?
Have you ended up with a fever or such well on
Ocrevus
? What happened? Regardless, I'm so grateful that I was able to be seen at a renowned MS Center.

4 Jan 2024 YOU of all people can do this.
As non medical professional, I strongly support
OCREVUS
. I use it and it is number 4 I think. At least 3 or 4. Do not bother lying to me as there is I believe around 20 medicines available these days. YOU could not have tried them all.

Ocrevus approved!
My
ocrevus
infusion was approved AND I got into the co-pay assistance program. It will give me $20,000 a year for copay assistance and $1000-$1500 a year for infusion costs. My first infusion is scheduled November 1st. I feel like I can breathe for the first time in 2 months.

Cold for 3 weeks question
I am on
ocrevus
so i know infections might be a thing. I do pretty well on
ocrevus
so i don't want to change my meds for a dumb cold. My question to you all is Will a dose of solumedrol help this? I haven't called my neurologist yet i am just going to urgent care and my primary doctor.

Mid 60's and my MS is still active. So much for the theory that as you age your MS becomes inactive...
Due to my history of having a serious infection while on
Ocrevus
, my neurologist opted to put me on Mayzent. If I do experience symptoms of any type of infections, Mayzent is easier to get out of the body then
Ocrevus
. It seems
Ocrevus
can last in the blood for over a year.

Busy day today - O + show + interviews
-
Ocrevus
infusion went well as expected. This time around, they gave me the steroids 5-10 min before Benadryl and I did not feel any effect from the Benadryl. - then tonight my husband took me to see a Jerry Seinfeld show. So much laughing. He's so good. This was great.

I have been on
Ocrevus
for 6 years, after being on copaxone for 5 years. I use a walker and need to self cath. Two years ago I was diagnosed with microscopic colitis. I’m not sure if this is a side effect from the infusions. I am debating about stopping the

Ocrevus/Hair Loss
Hello , I have recently been diagnosed with MS, I have just started
Ocrevus
infusion, first dose in August second dose in September. I am losing my hair like crazy. I have always had thick hair. I can't put it in a pony tail or clip. When I wash it, it comes out in clumps.

Vaccines
Has anyone receiving
Ocrevus
get a flu or covid vaccine? I have been advised to get them at the same time,, at least a month prior to my next infusion. Just curious.

relieved, Ocrevus finally scheduled
., the neuro finally gave me the green light to schedule the next
Ocrevus
infusion. It's set for Nov 2. It will be 11 months since the last one. Now I know I can last that long in-between infusion. I'm doing well despite being highly stressed (just lost my job).

ms + cold + Ocrevus = not a good combination
I had my
Ocrevus
shot the 1st week of November. Then travelled abroad on week 3 of November and came back with a nasty cold that flattened me for the whole Thanksgiving week.

Further delays in next Ocrevus infusion
Bottom line, be diligent about blood tests prior to
Ocrevus
infusion so that your immune system remains capable of protecting you from the nasty infections going around.

let Genetech know if you’ve had adverse immune effects from Ocrevus
And my concerns that
Ocrevus
dosing should be weight based. The universal 600mg dose may be overdosing for people with low body weight. I mentioned that there were others in this chat room that had similar immune issues and they would like to hear from you.

MRI results
I was scheduled to have had my normal, yearly MRI today (was cancelled b/c of last night's MRI) without contrast b/c I have had no new activity on MRIs since I started
Ocrevus
back in 2019 (so grateful for all those uninteresting MRIs).

Besides getting off
Ocrevus
(which I believe is also the cause after going to several doctors to rule anything else out?) My doctor suggested Nutrafol vitamins, has anyone tried them?

No News Is Good News
I've seen specialists at U of Mich, had my first course of
Ocrevus
, gone through physical therapy and joined an on-line support group. Trying to educate myself alone is a big job given how much information is available and the wide variety of symptoms.
