Hi. Anyone offer advice? I take steroid inhalers- recently diagnosed with oral thrush - not responding to Nystan and feeling like I have flu
Its been 6 days and everyday I am not feeling better - totally wiped out, no energy throat is sore although some of the white markings seem to have cleared up. Apart from my asthma i've generally been in good health and am 36 YO male. Is this a normal reaction to oral thrush? The fatigue/ill feeling

Has anyone had an experiences with Vega Testing? Would an NHS doctor totally dismiss any results from these?
I have suffered with IBS-D symptoms for over 10 years now and had a Vega test done at a complementary health clinic a long time ago. It conclusively showed that I had a problem tolerating yeast and associated dietary substances such as alcohol, sugar etc. I did the whole exclusion diet and found myself

Evening all, I hope everyone is ok. I have just been discharged from hospital, and I'm struggling again (been to acute medicine clinic today for nebs). I've lost count of the number of admissions now but I have just had enough, of bouncing in and out of hospital, of not being able to work...not being

Hi, I have IBS for many years now, Tried all sorts, what keeps me going is a strict fod diet. I have the suspicion of fungi/candida in the
gut. I asked my Dr to test me, but he kept saying that such a thing does not exists, now I have changed Dr, and I will ask him as well. My question is: has any one tried Nystan oral suspension?, this supposed to kill overgrowth of fungi in the gut. With some positive responses I might feel a bit more

Anyone got any experience using nystan?
I noticed my nipples looked raw and were so painful and looked online which said it was probably thrush. Went to the doctor who prescribed cream for my nipples and little ones bum and also nystan. She has been having 1ml 4 times daily but has been really unsettled and been sick quote a bit. She's not

Hi, does anyone have any tips for dealing with thrush when breast feeding?
My new daughter is only two and a half weeks old and we were both diagnosed by the health visitor. Baby is having Nystan four times a day and I have Clotrimazole cream twice a day. Baby's mouth now looks clear but I feel worse than ever with a gnawing pain deep in my breasts after feeding and sharp pain

Is anyone else suffering from an increase of illnesses since having Viral Meningitis or Viral Meningio-Encephalitis?
Hi - I was admitted as an emergency with Mengio-Encephalitis in August 2011 and put in isolation for over two weeks. Since then, have been back into hospital four times: 1). Nov 2011 - I began a severe chest infection that four doses of anti-biotics couldn’t shift! 2). Feb 2012 - I was admitted

Oral thrush/hoarse voice
Hi everyone, I have kept my daughter on 3 or 4 puffs morning & night of her flixotide preventer since the week before Christmas. Compared to her usual bouts (which were every other week and horrendous!), she sailed through a cold mid Jan, and *touch wood* has been quite even-keeled since Christmas.

Sore throat saga!
Ok, so I was diagnosed yesterday morning with oral thrush (side effect of my inhaler) I was prescribed Nystatin. Fine! Now I am feeling as sick as a dog and can not bare to eat anything. It would seem that sickness is a side effect of Nystatin, I just can't win. Also I have stopped taking the sybocort

As I mentioned in my last Blog ,I've had a very sore tongue & mouth and my lip keeps swelling up.I went to see My GP today and she thinks it is thrush (even though no white spots) as the corners of my mouth are cracked and my tongue is cracked and very red.She prescribed me Nystatin oral suspension 1ml
