Can post-BCR use of Tadalafil add risk?
Hello - My family doctor says no, but I have a lingering concern about it, despite the fact that my family doctor claims there is no relationship and says I can continue to use it. Firstly, I used it after the RP, and had a fast BCR at 2 years. (sure it could have been something else) Though on

Estrogen ADT vs Lupron ADT
Here's a chart showing % of men who have a given condition, comparing Estrogen ADT versus Lupron ADT. There's big reduction in hot flashes, and improvements in libido, when taking supplemental Estrogen. Estrogen increases gynecomastia (enlarged breasts), however. Bob

VERY limited exercise… am I kidding myself
84 years old with mPCa and a bum left knee. Diagnosed April ‘23, 6-month Lupron, had 4 rounds of Docetaxal, presently on Nubeqa. I know there are significant benefits to exercise, and I have pretty much convinced myself that I am doing the best I can for now … but it’s not much. I walk around the

No Osteoporosis with Estrogen Patch Therapy
These plots compare results from the Phase-II randomized trial (PATCH) comparing estrogen patch therapy to Lupron ADT. These plots show that Lupron ADT causes bone loss, while estrogen patch therapy has either no bone loss or increased bone mineral density (BMD) over time. Bob

Castration by Estrogen Patch
This plot shows a dramatic decrease in testosterone and PSA after starting estrogen patch therapy, indicating that transdermal estrogen (TDE) therapy effectively castrates men, and with fewer side effects than Lupron ADT.

The paradigm has shifted - castrate resistance.
It now appears that I’ve entered the land of castrate resistance and further ADT vacations are no longer in the plan. My T level recovered much more quickly during the last vacation than during previous vacations, and my PSA rose correspondingly. At 4 months my T level was 325 and my PSA was 4. Another

Lupron
Do not use Lupron if you have any kind of heart condition. I have a replaced Mitral Valve and was on the Lupron shots every three months for 18 months. Every time I would get a Lupron shot, I could feel it hit my body within 20 minutes with flu like conditions... very tired. When I had my Luron shot

Staring at my unopened bottle of Orgovyx
Well, D-day (or maybe O-day) has arrived (thank you FED-X). I'm about to do a swan dive into my battle against my PCa. After a week of searching for this stuff, my clinic found it in Louisville Kentucky at a pharmacy called Onco360. Not exactly a neighborhood corner market with me living on an island

Testosterone Recovery for 50% of Men
Here's an updated plot of Testosterone recovery time for 50% of men after stopping Lupron ADT, as a function of ADT duration. For ADT durations less than 20 months, the curve is basically linear with a slope = 1.0 (green line), meaning that the Recovery Time for 50% of men is roughly equal to the ADT

Testosterone recovery after stopping ADT - 3
This plot shows the % of men who recovered their original testosterone level after stopping Lupron ADT, plotted versus the time (months) after stopping ADT, for three different durations of ADT (4, 6-12, or 24 months). The curves show that a short course of ADT allows men to recover their testosterone

Testosterone Recovery after stopping ADT -2
This plot shows the time after stopping Lupron ADT for the testosterone to recover to the original level for 50% of men, plotted versus Duration of ADT treatment (4 or 24 months). The longer the duration of ADT, the longer it takes to recover the original testosterone level, which makes sense. For

Testosterone Recovery after stopping ADT -1
Here's the first of four plots showing testosterone recovery after stopping Lupron ADT. The testosterone recovers quickest in the first 12 months, but then flattens out after that.

darolutamide in place of Zitiga. Anyone with experience using?
Treatment, on Lupron, 3 month shots, with Zitiga beginning July, 2023. I have mets in shoulder blade, Sacrum Coccyx, bi-lateral pelvic lymph nodes and Iliac wing. Liver numbers over the course has come to a point that my MO is changing me from Zitiga to darolutamide. I would be interested to hear

PSA not dropping with cabazitaxel
See my profile for history. Have had 8 good years after Docitaxal, Lupron and 4 years of Zytiga. But mets's started up again in May, 2023. PSA went up to 36. Took 5 rounds of Docitaxal but not working. PSA 46 in December. MO prognosis is 1-1.5 yrs. Switched to cabazitaxel but after 3 rounds PSA is now

I am a 70 year old diagnosed in 8/21 with G9 on biopsy with initial imaging negative for metastatic disease. Underwent RP in 10/21 with seminal vesicle involvement. A few sampled nodes were negative. 5 months after surgery PSA climbed to 0.39 from 0.016 in first post op test. PSMA PET revealed a solitary

Orgovyx causing more brain fog than Lupron
I switched over 5 weeks ago and have been experiencing more cognitive aphasia and adverse spatial awareness issues(clumsiness). Will these issues settle down over time? Anybody else notice this?
