Toilet training resources
Hi there, we recently toilet trained my son (he was 3 at the time but has just turned 4) but he is still struggling with doing a poo on the toilet. He has managed to do this twice but has had many accidents. When it’s obvious he needs to go you can almost see a look of panic come over him and he’ll disappear

Colonoscopy with AF and ICD?
I've had several colonoscopies with AF and sedation, with no problems at all. But now - I have an ICD. Is an EP by protocol required to be present to switch it on and off before and after? If so, that must mess up their schedules badly.

Tyramine, MAO A and MAO B has any one tried a tyramine reduced diet?
I was reading up on MAO inhibitors as the question was asked which is best, an MAO inhibitor or C/L. My husband has had a genetic test and his results say he has lower expression of MAO A and B so I imagine inhibiting it further is probably not a good thing. But reading this it looks like reducing

Hello all, Some feedback from my mates on the forum would be appreciated. Since January have lost 2.5 stones (BMI now 30), still dieting. Given up alcohol. Feeling better than I have in years. Went out for a meal last night for my first meal since lockdown having met two old friends. Had a tebone steak

Olaparib question - temperature and feeling rubbish.
Hello ladies. Hope you're all having a good weekend. Looking for a bit of advice. I've been on Olaparib now for five months. For the last two weeks I've felt exhausted, tired and 'not quite right' which I put down to side effects of the tablets. About five days ago I woke in the night shivering and

Agitated when waking up from induced coma
My boyfriend has been in an induced coma following a severe head injury for over 3 weeks. Every time they try to wake him they say he gets “agitated” but surely this is normal? How are they ever going to bring him around if he gets agitated every time? I feel like we are getting no where, and then they

My child is suffering
My 9 year old daughter woke up one day back in May wet and said she can’t hold her urine anymore. Since then it seems like she lost her ability to control urination completely. We checked and re checked, I was told that her guts are blocked. She’s always been constipated but now it’s on a diff level

Dad has been bedridden for 2 months Post-Covid
Hi all, my father has been in a wonderful rehab center since 5/23. He is slowly, very slowly, regaining certain muscles. For example, the nurses sit him up and he can hold the seated position on his own for 1-2 minutes, and can sway his body left and right. He could only hold the position for 8 seconds

Some words of encouragement
Hi everyone, I've been dealing with some bad anxiety as of late. It's not the first time, I've had it a lot the past few years but it's been controllable. Anyway as I said it's been bad recently and I've been having irrational fears of death and just been dizzy and spaced out a lot. A lot of this is

Things to Buy when Rehab is Over?
Happily, my father is out of intensive care and progressing well enough to go to acute rehab. We feel very blessed and I’m very grateful to have found this site- it was extremely helpful when we were going through the worst of it. Obviously we will communicate with the professionals and do as they recommend

Help! Switching milk feeds from baby bottle to sippy cup....
Looking for some help please. My son is 1 and I know by now I need to stop using normal baby bottles for his milk. I'm having real trouble though as every single other thing I've tried he's just thrown a massive tantrum at, spat the milk out, aggressively pushed the bottles away, thrown them around and

Ongoing Amnesia.
hello lovely people; so i’ve been out of hospital for 54 days (ICU free for 76 days after 6 weeks in a coma due to a suicide attempt), and i read that memory loss of the event that caused your ICU stay is normal...however, i’ve noticed that lots of my previous memories are now gone. i can’t remember

Introduction - Brain Abscess
Hi, Just joined the community after my wife found it useful while I was going through treatment for a brain abscess.
