I have almost constant bloating whether I eat, drink water or do nothing. I am now regular now with Miralax and tried Phazyme for bloating( USA) and next to no real help. I am on Zoloft as well as Amitrip 10 Mg. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Constant Bloating
I suffer from constant bloating also - As in all the time no matter what much like it seems you do. Have you ruled out all your medications possibly being the cause? Can you ever get rid of the bloating?
I have bad bloating too. Then I read that Miralax can cause it! I stopped it but it eventually came back. Would love to know ideas too.
Bloating is such a nightmare.
This diet which helped with bloating a lot - but I never had really bad bloating in the way you describe! Maybe worth having a look?
Hi richv
Have you looked at your diet? The IBS network here in UK have info on diets for us IBS sufferers, give it a go, 🤞
Have you tried any probiotics such as Align found in the USA?
Hi richv, I had lower abdominal bloating for almost 20 years. Doctors were sympathetic but struggled to help. So, I did the FODMAP diet and also kept a diary as I wanted to see if there was a trend. Eating a lot of fat/unsaturated fat seemed to be a cause so I cut that down; it helped to an extent. My main issue was that I tended towards IBS-C; also that I had a bowel that was often in spasm. Addressing this I did three things: firstly, upped my water/fluid intake (to 3 litres a day) - this helps to ‘move’ things along, second, upped my exercise levels (a 30 min walk first thing and 90% of the time I now have a ‘normal’ BM when I get home) and third I was put on to Spasmonal (This addressed the spasms that I was almost constantly in). Result: very little bloating now - I’d be fibbing if I said I still didn’t get the odd bit, but certainly nowhere near as uncomfortable as before. I would not say that my approach would be right for you - much of this is in your hands, so you may have to experiment. But it will be worth it! Please do check that there are not underlying issues that need to be professionally resolved by your doctor.
