Ibuprofen Gel
I know I'm not supposed to take
NSAIDs
because of the aspirin, but the GP seemed to think it's okay. Do any of you have any advice or other information? Should I avoid alcohol whilst I use the gel?

STILL ON THE BED, STILL TRYING TO DEAL WITH OUR FLAILING MED SYSTEM - NO ANSWERS
None of the
NSAIDS
are actually touching this pain except for a brief "window of opportunity". Muscles are definitely wasting. Shaking a lot, from weakness I think. But sometimes more like a tremor as difficult to get spoon to mouth without dropping the food. Messy!

Difflam spray (Benzydamine hydrochloride) NSAID?
She suggested using
NSAIDs
such as ibuprofen, but I have to remind her every time that I cannot take them due to my my heart condition. So she prescribed the spray instead however, doing a quick online search, Benzydamine is considered an NSAID.

frustrated with gp re pain meds.
Ever since I had my stroke in 2018, I’ve not been allowed
nsaids
, due to the increased risk of further strokes. My then gp prescribed butec patches, which in the 5.5yrs have only been increased twice to the current 15mcg. I was given Tramadol for breakthrough pain which I don’t take too often.

Grounding/Earthing
I am going through some medical issues that normally I would take
NSAIDs
for, but because of the wisdom of this group I am not. So I looked for what else can bring down inflammation -- and grounding/earthing does that and more. I have been amazed at what it has done for my heart.

Variable Asthma and pain medication.
Due to the Asthma I am unable to use any
NSAIDs
. I am relying on paracetamol and a low dose of tramadol( dose being low due to alerts to other medications I am taking). I have exercises and hot/ cold treatments to help ease the pain. None of which has helped at all.

Unable to take NSAID's due to blood thinners...
I suffer from chronic glute/back pain due to lumbar spinal stenosis, but am unable to take NSAID's due to taking Rivaroxaban blood thinners. Is there any effective pain killer that I can take?...

broken bones and MPN
I’ve never broken any bone in my body but last week I broke my ankle. I’ve been told it’s a stable fracture and have been given a boot and crutches. I do normally have bone pain anyway but my lower leg is extremely painful and hot to touch. I’m taking zapain full daily dose but it’s only barely touching

finally a diagnosis
Gp would give me
nsaids
. The last few year I couldn’t stand the pain throughout my body. Legs and hip’s especially painful. I have had several falls within the last six months. Two year ago I was referred to a rheumatologist. He diagnosed fibromyalgia.

Confused
After nine years I seem to have similar pains as at the start, shoulders arms back thighs, knees, and wrists Would this be usual after so long . Tried nsaid's for a week slight relief, then tried increasing pred to10mg on 5mg on account of stunted adrenals and that didn't seem to work Done bloods ESR

Declined to start DMARDs at that point as a bit scared of side effects and have managed with
NSAIDs
until last year. Was admitted to hospital last June and was taken off naproxen and put on etoricoxib because of evidence of past stroke on scan. Last year was a roller coaster.

Went from stage 3b to stage 2
I tweaked my diet, made sure I was hydrated, stayed away from
NSAIDS
, only took stomach meds as needed, and started walking for exercise. I had another physical yesterday and today my results were posted to my portal. My gfr is now 60 …no protein in urine!! I am now back at stage 2!

Abnormal liver function tests
I dont drink, im not on
NSAIDs
, I dont have any other symptoms, no pain, not diabetic, no itchiness but I have been taking 40mg fluoxetine a day. They found a small cyst in the pancreas which im waiting for another scan. Has anyone had anything similar by taking fluoxetine?

Suggestions for questions for gastroenterologist?
Good evening all. Hope you’re as well as can be. Following 4 - 5 months of nausea, epigastric pain, chest pain and palpitations etc I recently underwent an endoscopy. The consultant’s initial report stated ‘diffuse erosive gastritis’ and ‘generalised ulcerated mucosa’. I have some photos and have to

Never ending problems
I shouldn't take
NSAIDS
. I read that I shouldn't have potassium but on the other hand bananas help with high blood pressure. I shouldn't eat processed bread but, as anyone gluten free knows, gf bread contains loads of rubbish and I have no alternative available.
