Gaps in lay mans knowledge of diabetes.
I have always felt that generally a diabetic has no clear understanding of diabetes. Even less is known about hypoglycemia ,its symptoms and how to manage this emergency. I do not know what is the opinion of forum members.

Two weeks ago my consultant told me that my % had dropped 10% to just below 30%. That my ct scan was clear but copd and my echocardiogram was clear but I wasn't suitable for coils. That because I haven't smoked for 3yrs I thought I was alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency person because no control even on

The trial, as reported in the Daily Mail, was to develop a drug 'to make damaged lungs regrow' The statement below was released at the time, but since this we have heard

Fab news for type 1 diabetics today
The telegraph have featured An article explaining that by injecting back in immunity cells to t1 diabetics they can force the pancreas to restore insulin production for up to a year. Now I am no scientist but that has to be a major breakthrough for autoimmune disease as a whole. Perhaps similar things

Not for migraine sufferers?
I have been getting migraines for a lot of years now. After no luck at the doctors, I decided to try acupressure as I get knots in my back and neck. I believe this is the cause of my headaches. This helped a lot however it was getting too expensive. I tried the doctors again and was re-fared to a specialist
