Feeling desperate
My sister has hydrocephalus, only discovered in 2014 and she had several operations and had a shunt put in. She'd been having headaches for a while but not debilitating but since her operation the headaches are much worse and we think it's because there was some nerve damage done during the operation

My hubby had
neurosurgery
20 years ago and all this time we have lived with his epilepsy, low empathy and mood and anxiety. He shouts a lot at me, has no life, energy, motivation or interest in changing his situation.

Binaural beats
During the year after my first brain surgery I spent time daily doing meditation. I found it incredibly helpful for those moments of anxiety and bouts of tiredness. Writing in a mandatory hour of meditation each day was an excellent aid in my recovery. I also listened to binaural beats at night while

Thank you for your prayers and support
Thank you for all your prayers and Support. My friend has come through her brain surgery. Now we wait for pathology and to see if there are any deficits. Her family continues to need your prayers and support since they are in shock. All this was sudden and her symptoms progressed rapidly. Thank you again

WHAT'S NEXT?
Other than my depression, anxiety, family problems, and loneliness everyday. I'm now on the list for a possible brain surgery. The worst part about this issue is the fact that depression must be under control. My neurologist and psychiatrist are not agreeing on how to overcome my depression. What hope

Investigating POTS
Greetings to all! I recently became aware of this condition and it was suggested to me by a specialist (my Neurosurgeon) that I be evaluated for POTS. I do NOT recommend a divorce for your health
My ex told me the other day that I never loved him and only married him for an “easy ride”. I reminded him that when we married I was making between $55,000 - 65,000 annually depending on my bonus. I got diagnosed three months after our wedding. He said such hateful things. Now of course I am trying

No post for long time, here is my update.
For fellow Gleason 10 diagnoses. I found that when I was diagnosed I found it difficult to find any information about what I could expect. I know that none of us have the same reactions to the same medication but still I’ll list what I’ve be through so they might see what could transpire. I was diagnosed

On the fence over DBS
I'm new to posting. Have had PD diagnosed in 2012 after I cared for my husband and son with Huntington's over a period of 26 years, so I know how long and complicated neurological conditions can be. I have done pre-op for the Deep Brain Surgery and qualified for it, but my issues are not typical. I have

I don’t know how anyone gets through waiting for surgeries
Just venting here... I have my first of two brain surgeries on Tuesday, and I’ve been off the charts anxious. Luckily no actual panic attacks, but my god, how does ANYONE do it w or w o anxiety and depression?! It’s been a struggle for the last two weeks, and I’m back on a low dose of clonazepam that

Early Days!
I started this blog first part of May 2018 and I began writing again. I think I have something to tell people with multiple sclerosis. I think my writing also helps newly diagnosed people so they understand what can possibly happen to them. I also have to admit that it’s cathartic for me to write.
