Could a previous diagnosis of brachial neuritis be a warning sign of PMR?
Dx at the time was brachial
neuritis
. It eventually calmed down and now I'm wondering if this could have been the beginnings of PMR which evolved into GCA /LVV. Has anyone else had previous episodes of one-sided pain from neck to arm before dx?

My Last (IFN) Dose, my Fateful Decision One Year Ago
A neurologist Dx Brachial
neuritis
, a known rare vax risk. Most neuro vax events improve over months or years, but can precede other things. By new year ’23 neuro was less severe. But on Sunday Jan 15 I was at parents’ new retirement home helping assemble furniture.

Dr appt updates
She says I have only had one incident which was optic
neuritis
in my L eye so it’s only CIS (Clinically Isolated Syndrome. ) In 2014 I went from blurry one Friday to totally blind in that eye the next Friday. I end up having a lumbar puncture and more lab work.

Instead of telling me then that if you’ve had optic
neuritis
twice within seven years, you pretty much have MS, he asked me if I was having any bladder or bowel problems. To which in my embarrassment I answered “No!”. Then he sent me for an MRI. At least my diagnosis was easy! 🤣

Effects of heat on vision....Optic neuritis
It is usually applied to optic
neuritis
and other visual symptoms but can also refer to fatigue, pain, balance, weakness, bladder issues, cognitive or sensory symptoms. (Web.MD) I've typed on and off since the '50s....I find I type more accurately and faster if I shut my eyes.

How would it be
pulling out your chair How’s it going to be Not falling and meeting the floor again and again Raising fear and being picked up How would it be Without a wheelchair Without a walker Without a cane How would it be with no PT, OT and physiologist needed How would it be With clear vision and no optic

Day 11/31
But I know that for so many, optic
neuritis
is one of the first symptoms they experienced. For many, it was a defining moment that led to their MS diagnosis. So I pray and ask for healing over our eyes.

I share concerns, I'm sharing some good news!!
Another factor I believe (it sure didn't make much sense to me) was the neuro-ophthalmologist put me on gabapentin (I was skeptical...who needs another med) for an inflamed optic nerve, optic
neuritis
, but I swear the vision in my right eyes seems clearer, sharper.

I've been absent too long, beginning to feel human~LONG
When he returned to the room, he said he felt I had optic
neuritis
in my right eye and put me on 300mg of Gabapentin three times a day. That was last Thursday. He also said he felt confident my vision in my right eye would stabilize.

My mom needs craniotomy
In 2007 she was first diagnosed with a meningioma that was diagnosed incidentally because she underwent an MRI because she has optic
neuritis
. At the time she had the CyberKnife and up until 2013 the tumor had not grown. She had no symptoms. About 6 months ago, her personality started to change.

National Health Institute article: Dealing With Dizziness: Getting Help With A Balance Disorder November 2021
This is called vestibular
neuritis
. The most common cause of dizzy spells is called benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, or BPPV. This occurs when tiny crystals in the inner ear fall out of place.

Optic Neuritis Challenges
Optic
Neuritis
I had my first bout last year - which led to my diagnosis. It was on my optic chiasm so it affected both eyes, one much worse than the other.= After almost a year the one eye is at about 100% and the other comes and goes.

Anyone with a similar experience?
A year ago I had optic
neuritis
without any previous diagnosis or symptoms. I was hospitalized and treated with complete recovery. The usual suspect is multiple sclerosis which was proved by both an MRI and a lumbur puncture. So you might be wondering what I'm doing in an APS community...

Vision
I know we can have optic
neuritis
but I have been checked for it and don’t have it. Are there other “reasons”, MS related, that would cause this? It has been a week now and everything is blurry and cloudy. No pain to speak of.

Blurry vision
I have never had optic
neuritis
so not sure what it feels/looks like. I’m on the computer all day and the words keep going blurry and then are ok, then blurry again. While I have had lots of eye pain in the past, I am not in any pain right now. Should I be concerned?
