Help with blood results
So, the endo is happy with my T3 and T4. Mid to upper range. However I still suffer from bloating, hair loss and fairly rapid pulse (90 bpm) . I take 50mcg levo and 1 grain Thai NDT. I had my iron checked in June 19. GP told me that my levels were ‘normal’. I’ve recently had the Mirena coil removed

Kardia
Hi All. Just wondering if the Kardia unit is any benefit if you are in permanent Afib or is it more of value to someone with paroxysmal or intermittent episodes . I am in permanent although only diagnosed 3 weeks ago and I have read how good the Kardia is but not sure if it will only tell me what I

Started taking Exjade for iron overload from transfusions
Did this for 3 reasons. I am one of a handful of around 20 people taking both drugs with rux maybe one of 10 taking it with with a trial drug as well. Why do I do it? Other patients took the gamble to try rux and imatinib and lost their gamble so I feel I owe my opportunity to them. Pure research. This

Am I still not absorbing iron?
My b12 was 88ng/L and iron 4ug/L.... after 3 years of symptoms, I have had my 5 b12 loading jabs a month ago and taking ferrous fumarate every other day as any more than that gives me diarrhoea. I'm not sure I'm absorbing the iron if its doing that to me. Still have bouts of tiredness and tingling and

High erythrocyte sedimentation rate, low RBC/haemoglobin, poor renal test results
I just got another blood test result back and my ESR is too high, there's no range given for some reason but it's 20mm/hr. I have Hashimoto's and lichen sclerosus, I'm on 150 mcg levothyroxine. TSH 0.03, FT4 19.4 (74% through range), FT3 5.2 (57% through range). Also taking 2.5 mg low-dose naltrexone

Situational anxiety
Last year I was hospitalized for 10 days after having a
nervous
breakdown
. Tomorrow I’m going to a horse show for the first time since my hospitalization. Horse shows are a HUGE anxiety trigger for me. I love them, but I spend at least the first part of the day in misery from the anxiety.

Adjustment period with supplements?
Hello all. I think was wondering what anyone's experience was when starting with B-complex and Folate tablets? I started on Ferrous Fumarate 2 1/2 weeks ago, as prescribed by GP in an attempt to raise my Ferritin level. That was going fine, no adverse affects. Then on Sunday morning I started on a B

Emotional Triggers
I have been most guilty of this, and I went into a period of horrible anxiety and paranoia over things happening that gave me nearly a "
nervous
breakdown
". The only thing that saved me was self talking.

Could it be Thyroid issues? High MCV and MCH for 3 years, very low ferritin. All with no anemia. Normal B12, Folate and Iron levels.
Hi all, I'm new here. This my third year of consistently high and increasing MCV and MCH levels, coupled with extremely low and unresponsive ferritin levels.
More on blood results:
* MCV (April 2016/August 2017/March 2018/July2018/June 2019/July 2020/July2020 one week later) 95.1/95.7/96.2/101

Invisible killer.
It was nice to get out in the fresh air but think mum would have
nervous
breakdown
if more people were around. We just all have to be careful if you do venture out. This seems so unreal like something you would read about in a book. Lol

Is it normal to get hot when you are hungry or tired.
Hi I am on 137 mcg levothyroxine dropped from 150 and 50,000 units vit D2 for Vit D deficiency, and also low on iron so I am taking 325 ferrous sulfate every other day . The D2 once a week. My question is: Is is normal to get hot when you are tired or hungry, (not starving) I was diabetic but no longer

Could it be ET?
A few months ago I noticed on my GP portal my platelets have been high for a few years and asked my new GP to investigate. She repeated bloods and platelets were 547. Haemoglobin fine, mcv ok but iron binding and transferrin index showed iron may be low so she has given me 3 months of ferrous fumarate
