Blood Tests

HI, 2 weeks ago after being very unwell, my gp sent off full liver function. Some enzymes were raised, so had tests repeated. Just rang for results. Receptionist told me, all within range and no further action required. Im worried sick, as im losing weight without trying and have many bruises. Had chronic lethargy for months. I know im stressed out to the max, but ive also read, that despite normal blood tests, there can still be problems. Any advice?

Im having a complete nervous breakdown, hence im also having nightmares!

Thanks for listening,

Annie xxx

Hiya missus.. Following your trials and tribulations and think about you and your family a lot. Your weight loss could possibly be down to the incredible amount of stress you are under.... There is also a condition that causes easy bruising. I was tested for it as I have always bruised ridiculously easily. Tests were negative... I am just used to it now. Do you have any other symptoms?

I do have peniscous anaemia. I have lethargy, feeling of fullness to right hand side, weird niggly pains on left and in tummy. When i saw my gp he said it was gastritis. Prescribed gaviscon advance and told me to double up on the esomeprazole but i still feel sicky. Ive lost 6 kg in weight in 7 weeks. Thats not me. When im stressed out, i reach for the chocolate. I wanted to speak to my gp, but hes not in today..he is ringing me, tomorrow xxx

Hi Button

Sorry your still having a tough time of it all and hopefully tomorrow your GP will listen and arrange for you to have further tests especially if you explain your weight loss which is not normal for you when stressed.

Good luck with your call but remember to write a list so your prepared

Hi

I'm sorry you aren't feeling too well at the moment. Please can I ask what dose of esomeprazole you are on? I'm on 49mg morning and 40 mg at night. They worked to start with but not any more. My GP is phoning me with my lft results tomorrow. Is your stomach really sore all the time and do you feel sickly after eating? I've got electric blanket and hot water bottle but then need the fan going full pelt!! Please let us know how you get on. Take care and stay safe Lynne xxxx ❤️🤗

Hi Annie,

Can you speak to the GP today about your concerns and ask for interpretation of your bloods? We hope they can clarify matters.

Keep us posted

Best wishes
