Hi I am on 137 mcg levothyroxine dropped from 150 and 50,000 units vit D2 for Vit D deficiency, and also low on iron so I am taking 325 ferrous sulfate every other day . The D2 once a week. My question is: Is is normal to get hot when you are tired or hungry, (not starving) I was diabetic but no longer..

Important to retest thyroid levels 6-8 weeks after any dose change in levothyroxine
Heat intolerance can be hypo symptom
Low vitamins suggests hypothyroidism too
Low vitamins lower TSH
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to regularly test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).
Like you I had low Vitamin D2 and low Iron (though intermittent). I am on 75 Mg of Levothyroxine and remain stable on that dose. I take a dose of 3000 iu of D2 daily and that keeps me at an adequate level of 95.8nmol/L. Seven years ago I was severely deficient of Vitamin D and I do a finger prick test every 6 months. Well done in getting into remission with your Diabetes, sadly I have been an insulin dependent diabetic for the last thirty three years and have some though infrequent highs and lows. My moments of feeling hot and tired are mainly through Diabetes and drugs for Neuropathy.
