Covid and thyroid hormones
I got Covid for the first time 2 weeks ago, still testing positive although the line is very faint, but still there. I didn’t really need the test to tell me that as I’m still feeling utterly crap. My thyroid problems have been ongoing for around 4 years now (no formal diagnosis) and I’ve also had low

positive round of icsi
so after testing positive since 4dp5dt, called my fertility team and they have me booked in for a 7 week scan the first week of March. So would be roughly 5wks5days pregnant at the minute but can’t help but notice the absence of any signs/symptoms of pregnancy. Other than sensitive boobs which could

No vaccine this year
Hi Hope everyone is well. The covid vaccines for this autumn is recommended for over 65s. I have had the 4 jabs but this autumn there is to be no jab. I take a preventer(morning and evening), but not on any steroid tablets etc. My understanding is if your under 65(I am 51), and not on steroid tablets

Cycle buddies?
Hello, I've just started Norethisterone today to start our very last ever cycle and was wondering if anyone else is starting a cycle and wants to share the ups and downs. I'm on a short flare cycle so will be starting injections in 2 weeks and depending on how I respond egg collection will be around

Advice on TENS machine.
Does anyone know if you can use a TENS machine if you have a pacemaker? I am struggling with osteo-arthritis.

So much confusion so much pain
I tell you I struggle every day. I look at pics of my wife from this time last year, 2 years ago 3 years ago. My wife was never a drinker. We had a glass of wine at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Every now and then, maybe once or twice a year. She would have a drink at our friends. When we moved

Long Covid and vagus nerve inflammation - symptoms etc.
Hi everyone, It's a lovely sunny day here in Leeds and I've just had a 14 hour sleep. I hope you are all OK. Having had Covid whilst in hospital I'm interested in Long Covid and how its symptoms mirror those of Enc. Plus any findings on vax side effects. Some of you may share my curiosity so here is

Donor egg to blastocyst conversion
Hello all, So I found out donor egg collection was today (12 collected, 9 mature) and I'm wondering about how many blastocysts I might get. I don't know the fertilisation rate. It was poor with my own eggs (assuming due to age). My partner does have only 3% morphology but apparently that is a minor issue

Asthma during respiratory infections
Hi, I've been asthmatic since I was 2 years old and am now considerably older than that. Despite 45 years of experience I really don't have a good understanding of what to expect from asthma management. I use a low dose Flixotide preventer inhaler every day and salbutamol when required. Day to day you

Amitriptyline
Hi all, I've had ibs -c for many years. Last year I was in so much pain in my hips my doc sent me for an xray it turned out to be an impingement. My doc gave me amitriptyline as a painkiller. Oh my word they worked wonders. I was regular as clockwork no bloating. I had been on a diet with no weight loss

2nd FET protocol for 4th embryo transfer
Hi all, I’m looking for some advice on FET protocols. I’ve had 2 fresh rounds of IVF treatment and one frozen. The first cycle of IVF resulted in two embryos. We transferred one embryo, which resulted in a BFN. For our frozen round we also got a BFN. For our next fresh round our consultant suggested

Pneumonia/cancer
Hi I'm new to this forum but great to hear other peoples experiences. I was diagnosed with pneumonia after an x-ray. Had antibiotics and fingers crossed, not feeling too poorly. Doctor said it was a small showing on the x-ray and that no cancer concerns at all. He said I will have a follow up x-ray in

Severe Lung Scarring from Pneumonia
Hello, I have posted about my dad who is in his late 70s in ICU for severe pneumonia here before, but here is the current situation. At the moment, he is stable and he is close to weaning off sedation completely and starting ventilator weaning (trachy) soon. His ventilator setting is O2 35%, Saturation

Upon losing my father , some retrospect. Take what you need and leave the rest.
Tysm for all. Unfortunately my dad's death was long and horrifying bc he couldn't breathe . He died of leukemia to my knowledge, not prostate cancer and please dont jump on me for saying so bc I am vaxxed and I'm not an anti vaxxer, but I have no doubt that that the vaccines sped up his demise as he got

is this a chemical pregnancy?
After getting a very faint positive (but thick line) on my first test on 7DPT5DE I’ve tested and had faint lines on various other tests. This morning 9DPT I did a home blood test (with very little blood as I couldn’t bleed lol) and it showed a light positive….any advice please? I’m so scared to get excited
