Kidney biopsy in 2011 confirmed lupus
nephritis
. At the time of diagnosis, creatinine level was 1.8...now this has progressed to 2.85.. I am not sure about my stage. May be 3B or stage 4 kidney disease. What are my chances of survival . How much time is left for me.

Cramps!! Legs, arms, hands...you name it!!
I’m new to this community but have had Systemic Lupus
Nephritis
since I was 7 years old (am now 46). I suffer a lot from leg and hand/arm cramps and have just had yet another torturous night without much sleep due to excruciating leg cramps.

Progression of ckd..... Now stage 4
Lupus
nephritis
is the name of the kidney disease. Is this decline in gfr normal? I don't know the reason of the decline. I have nephrologist who says my kidney failure is stable. I am concerned that the decline is happening so fast. Has this happened to anyone else?

Prolonged cough
Hi, I have Lupus
Nephritis
. Has anyone had a cough that has lasted for 8 weeks or more? I have had 3 courses of antibiotics and still have this annoying cough. Sometimes it produces clear mucus and sometimes yellow but not very much of it. x

Lupus nephritis
I’m not sure if it’s Lupus
nephritis
. It’s not a cyst or any thing strange what the ultrasound didn’t show up not stones. Anyone experienced this before? I have mixed connective tissue.

Seen a great Nephrologist today
This is the first time that I was told that I have Interstitial

Kidney Disease?
My cause of FSGS was from strep/
nephritis
that I had when I was a child. It was 40 years later that I was diagnosed with FSGS. I had a transplant in 1999.

Did anyone posting here start their lupus journey with positive blood results without clinical symptoms?
I already knew that the presence of positive levels of anti-dsDNA is supposed to indicate more serious sle ( i.e lupus
nephritis
). The results of an American study in 2001 found that in 74.2% of cases, the presence of these antibodies preceded clinical symptoms on average by 2.3 years!

Diagnostic Criteria for SLE: ACR’97 vs SLICC’12
Noteworthy differences in the SLICC’12 criteria include a wider spectrum of clinical manifestations; sufficiency of biopsy-proven
nephritis
and positive serology for diagnosis; reorganization of mucocutaneous manifestation items; and merging of photosensitivity and malar rash.
