Hi, I'm new here and currently having lots of tests done on my lungs to see why I'm so breathless and wheezy after a nasty chest infection. Im usually healthy and don't smoke but have spent a week in Hospital on nebs and oxygen I've had lung function tests, I've just finished 5 weeks on oral steroids

Update on breathing
I know I need hi dose prednisone drip to open me up and they'll keep me there so I'm treating myself with my
nebulizer
and inhaler! This happens every 2-3 years and unfortunately I belong in the hospital! I'm just sitting contemplating for now! If I get much worse I'll drive myself!

The GP Doctor said ok sent me to the pulmonary specialist they gave me a

I missed a chest infection??
Ok so basically, my asthma hasn't been great in recent weeks, and I've been waking up increasingly more often with a 'stuffy' chest. I've been getting more of a cough. But I brushed it off assuming it was to do with seasonal allergies or something. I ended up in A&E on Sunday night because I'd had

GP tomorrow and very confused
Hi everyone, hoping that someone has advice for me. I have a GP appointment tomorrow (he asked to see me) to discuss the kenalog injections I started a few months ago then stopped after an appointment with his colleague when he was on holiday. Boring background is (according to consultant) severe persistent

Inhalers
I take 4 inhalers, Fostair 200/6, Spiriva Reptimist and Ventolin with a Fluticasone Nasal spray. My asthma nurses have advised a nebuliser for emergency use but NHS no longer fund. Does anyone else find these expensive

Any COPD clinical trials near Stockport?
I have an electric
nebulizer
on prescription, which uses a saline solution, but lately it is becoming less effective. I've also tried a "Flutter"with mixed results. I had to buy that myself for £50!!!

Has anyone else been told to use Pulmicort nebs after exercising?
He said that as I had a
nebulizer
at home, I could try a pulmicort nebs after exercising. I have never heard of this before? Has anyone else? And if you have did you get any benefit? Meanwhile back on Prednisolone waiting for those sleepless nights. R

Hi Everybody
Hope this post finds you well! 😊 Allergies are a headache but I try to pop in the meds and to enjoy the weather.. in the shade. Steroids don't like the sun nor does doxycyclin.😉 We are going through a heatwave here I don't know about you. Nights get harder, inhalers on my bedside table and nebuliser
