Low Peak flow
Hi Everyone - hope you are all keeping well. I’m not wanting to bother my gp or asthma nurse... I have everything I need to control my asthma here... my peak flow has been low the last 3 mornings - it picks up with inhalers and I am not unwell, just tired and out of breath. I have home nebuliser (which

Is it the virus or a panic attack?
Hi everyone. Last week I began to feel a bit tight chested which can happen to me at this time of year when the seasons are starting to switch. I also do a dusty job and I'm used to dealing with my asthma this way. I called the doctors as usually I'd go to hospital where they'd put me on a nebuliser

Do I carry on with asthma plan?
Started pred 4 days ago, shielding on multi inhalers and xolair. Have asthma plan peak flow optimum 470, at mo 310. So continuing plan, resting. However having periods of SOB, racing / slowing heart rate between 130-48, oxygen levels 84-86%, no temp above 36.8 but very dry and very hot to touch skin.

Clear xrays/cscan but can't breathe!
I have a home
nebulizer
machine for when this gets really bad. I've been tested for every allergy under the sun. This is always been blamed on my environmental allergies as there are so many of them, dust mites included.

My thoughts on NHS letters, The List and shielding
Awake nice and early thanks to nebuliser stresses aplenty yesterday and pollen issues (you'd think the least the trees could do at the moment would be to send their pollen elsewhere. Like another realm or something...!) So I thought I'd share my thoughts 😁 A lot of people are, understandably, trying

Define severe asthma
Hi All, I'm a bit confused about the asthma part of covid-19. My work do have the ability for me to WFH, although they are trying to get as much people in to the office as possible and at present it has been agreed but this could change and anytime and I want to make sure before I insist on doing it

Do we have to isolate or not?
Some actual concrete advice from Asthma UK would be great! I’ve looked on the NHS website and it says if you have severe asthma. Well that’s open to interpretation as I got told they don’t use the term brittle asthma anymore, they call it severe, so is mine severe or not? Luckily my peak flow only ever

Noisy breathing
Hello, When ever I have an asthma attack I have very noisy breathing when I inhale, which I thought was a wheeze however the drs always say my chest is clear with no wheeze. The only time they seem to hear a wheeze is when my peak flow drops by 50%. The noise I make always disappears after a nebuliser
