So I'm still in hospital. Little background. Came in two weeks ago with severe asthma was put on 8l of oxygen for a week. Reduced to 4l of oxygen for 5 days and In the last two days gone down to 2l. Been having frequent nebs (4x per day). My oxygen levels been sitting at 92 to 94 with the oxygen. Drops once I'm off.

Just now, literally 20 minutes ago I could hardly breath. They sat me up I used my reliever inhaler to try and help. Not working. Had the machine attached to me and it said that my pulse rate was 230 and ox sat was 97. WHAT?

I feel so out of breath like all the other attacks I've had. And the pain I get in my chest, the shakes, unable to walk very far. I feel like I was trying unto yawn for about half hour before hand and unable to.

Was I having a panic attack (which I also suffer from) or an asthma attack. And now the nurse reduced my oxygen to 1l because I reached 97 for a couple of seconds.

I'm seeing my consultant tomorrow and he did say if i was off nebs for 24 hours i could go home but i haven't. But in some cases they make exceptions. But last time this happened I ended back in a and e.

So confused. Tired. Frustrated. And feel so blooming breathless.

Talk to your consultant about your concerns regarding this episode. They are best placed to review what happened and in what context. A HR of 230 with chest pain should be reviewed by the consultant.
