Menopause alternative to HRT
I am looking for advice regarding Black Cohosh. Has anyone successfully taken this for Menopause? I am worried if I try it it may effect Levo.

Inspiration
This is a photo of me after 9 months on ADT, age 70. I’ve always tried to stay in good shape. Jack LaLane inspired me as a kid in the early 1960’s. Later inspired by Larry Scott, Arnold, Lou and others. I built muscle naturally, no steroids. As my testosterone naturally decreased in my late 50’

Xgeva side effects?????
I started ADT a little over a year ago. I'm on Trelstar and my PSA is < 0.04. In March of this year I started taking Erleada. The side effects from both drugs have been minimal, some hot flashes and fatigue. Two months ago my doctor started me on Xgeva. The first dose I felt no ill effects, but

Just needing a vent
I am feeling really fed up right now. I got diagnosed about 2 weeks ago with pots and then 2 days later was in hospital with kidney stones. Got released just on time to make a family trip to London so had lots of painkillers to get through it but still managed to enjoy it. I came home and went to gp

Metastatic PC
First diagnosed in 2017 with high grade PCand put on hormone therapy until Nov. 2019. At that time I had 28 radiation treatments and PSA dropped to 0.05. No therapy from Jan 2023 and ongoing. PSA started rising in early 2023 from 0.05, 0.08, 0.66, to 2.8 in June 2023. PSMA Pet scan shows the cancer

? Ashwagandha and Maca Root If Hypo
Hi.If anyone who regularly uses Ashwagandha and/or Maca Root, I would love to hear of their experience taking these. I have recently read that both Ashwagandha and Maca Root are natural ways to help rebalance hormones in menopausal women. I am not sure though, if they adversely affect thyroid meds.

Weight LOSS on ADT
Hey all. I was diagnosed with PCa Oct. 2018. After radiation, Zytiga and Lupron, my PSA dropped to no-detect, where it has stayed for the past 3+ years. All very good news, right? Yes....mostly. Though I've dealt with continuing hot flashes and fatigue, my big concern right now is weight loss. I'm normally

menopause
Decided not to take HRT as it will feed a fibroid I’ve got and also my thyroid has gone under active so need to get that to a good level. I just wanted to ask what supplements you ladies take to help with the menopause and how it’s helped you. Thanks in advance

Rux and IFN combo therapy
This recent report points to benefits of combining Rux and IFN. Of particular interest is the low doses that were enabled toward the end. -Notable: "The JAK2V617F allele burden was significantly reduced 3 months after the start of treatment, and continued to decline from a median of 47% to 6%." In

Goserelin - side effects profile variability between implants
OK, I know that living with PCa can play havoc with my relationship with reality that uncertainty is about the only sure fire certainty. So I am aware that the side effects of ADT are both real and yet also exacerbated or lessened by my mood, which of course is also subject to the impact of having

Total Hip Replacement tomorrow - yay!
So having been in a lot of pain with my right hip since last September and staving it off with injections, finally I am going into hospital tomorrow for a total hip replacement. Feeling grateful but trepidacious. Have read Dorset Lady’s tips - thank you for those - and have taken them onboard. Doing

Darolutimide as monotherapy
I know there has been a phase 2 trial (EORTC-GUCG 1532 trial) testing the efficacy of Darolutimide as monotherapy and was wondering if anyone outside of the trial has done this. The phase 2 triall seemed to show that it could be very effective in lowering PSA. Since it doesn't actually stop testosterone

On vacation!
Didn't think I would ever go on an ADT vacation. My new urologist thinks it would be a good idea since I have several SE from my MDS-RS with the worst being fatigue added to my ADT fatigue. Have been on Eligard after radiation for 3 yrs. with PSA undetectable. Am sure in my mind that the radiation

bone strength
Here’s a good detailed explanation of how exercise works to strengthen bones. I’ve always concentrated on muscle building and muscle strength and endurance, but an important part is the bone strengthening that also occurs. Even more important now that I’m on ADT. https://youtu.be/1gToyjm4NNA
