23 September is RLS Awareness Day. I've been trying to contact people to raise awareness and I may have 2 radio interviews coming out on Health Radio and a possible article in the Sunday Mirror on the benefits of medical cannabis. If they go ahead, I'll post details. I used medical cannabis to get 3

Experience with Lynparza?
First off, thanks to all the amazing women in this community. I have learned so much about the disease and the amazing stories of courage and perseverance. Very inspiring. This is my first post, I apologize in advance if I ramble. It is my 84 year old father dealing with MBC and I am along for the ride

Medicinal experiences
Hi all Following all the recent conversations about various meds people are being prescribed I thought I would add my experiences to the mix. Might be helpful. I was diagnosed with osteopenia several years ago and put on bisphosphonates. These eventually caused a hiatus hernia so I stopped taking them

Evista to prevent recurrence of IDC?
I am 4 months after bilateral mastectomy for invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC). Have had 25 radiation treatments. Now considering Letrozole vs Tamoxifen vs Evista. Don't like the side effects of Letrozole or Tamoxifen. I favor Evista due to recent diagnosis of osteopenia. Has anyone else had experience

1st post - ramblings for future treatment decisions & so much research info to digest
In March 2018 at 64yo with an escalating PSA from <3 16 months earlier to 7.3 in 5 weeks the biopsy revealed 2 of 12 samples with Gleason 4+4 in both. Discussion with doctors at Mayo & my bride led to decision of robotic assisted radical prostatectomy with nerve sparing in 8/18. Pathology revealed no

Vasectomy and ICSI
Morning ladies I'm looking for any personal experiences of vasectomy and ICSI. My current partner had a vasectomy over 10 years ago in his previous marriage. We've used donor sperm for the last few rounds of IVF - initially because I started IVF as a single woman after my marriage collapsed because

Proteolytic Enzymes... Has anyone had any success with them?
I already take Curcumin and Vit K2 on top of ADCAL supplements and wondered if anyone has used Proteolytic Enzymes. Are they worth the money? I am currently on 7.5mg Steriods and taking Alendronic acid too.

Prostate-Specific Antigen: Predicting for Biochemical Failure During Salvage Radiation Therapy After Prostatectomy
For anyone thinking about Salvage Radiation Treatment (SRT) this article makes the point that you should have your PSA measured before, during (25th session) and after treatment...my Doctor did not believe this was necessary; I see now that it was. Luckily I had my own tests done at ultra low levels

PARP inhibitors
Dear Friends, I was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004. I am brca1 positive. Initially I had double mastectomy and did well until 2016 when I had metastasis to axillilary lymph nodes and left lung. Had full course of ACT, radiation and more lymph node dissection. Have been on xeloda, capacetabine

How do I choose between Cyberknife (SBRT) monotherapy vs HDR Brachytherapy+EBRT?
M59, Gleason 4+3 (second opinion confirmed by Jonathan Epstein at John Hopkins), PSA7.8 average past 1 year, T2C stage. Haven't been operated or radiated before. Currently am being offered: 1) 5 fraction Cyberknife (SBRT) therapy that is concentrated to the prostate. 2) 1 time high dose rate Bracytherapy

Zytiga - Abiraterone - To take or not to take right now
Greetings; I have been avidly reading a lot of the posts on prostate cancer. They have provided invaluable information on the way I have made decisions with my treatment. My wife is a profesional nurse so I do have a heads up on research and the blessing of working as a team to prolong our lives together
