Pain after Coil
Hi everyone, I recently ( one week ago) had laparoscopy that removed a cyst and treated some areas of endometriosis and also they inserted the
Mirena
Coil. I'm recovering very well and feel great apart from a pain high in my vagina, what feels like my cervix.

Trying to conceive after Mirena coil
Also wondering for those who’ve fallen pregnant, how long after
Mirena
removal did it take to conceive?

Help please with female hormones after intro of T3 and gel to patches
I have a
mirena
coil for progesterone element. Any thoughts or help would be so helpful as I have no idea what this means so thank you in advance. I’ve been on HRT for approx 8 years and switched from tablet to gel 18 months ago due to poor absorption.

I had a
mirena
coil fitted during surgery and I was told the only option I have is to deal with the irregulated periods and side effects and I'm 'stuck', and the only other option I have is to remove the tubes - I just don't believe this is possible.

Endo or IBS?
He also said that the endo won't have returned because the
mirena
will have stopped it from doing so! I feel like other than pain in my abdomen I have no other symptoms of IBS and I'm wondering where I can go from here? Any advice appreciated

Only option was
Mirena
IUD (which I already have) and mini pill (which I took for a year and never again, turned out I have progesterone intolerance). Having to go privately with Benenden thanks to the length of the waiting lists and just looking for some guidance. Thanks!

Does the Mirena increase PMDD symptoms?
That same Psychiatrist recommended the
Mirena
to help manage the PMDD and the heavy periods. It did lighten the cycle with quite a few side effects including headaches, spotting every day for 1 year. My gyno has revealed to me that the
Mirena
can increase Progesterone.

Questions re: Mirena coil & surgery follow up! What check should be done?
Is was only after I was ushered out, I realised the
Mirena
coil hadn’t been checked - or that I didn’t understand what was meant by ‘check’. I think the info leaflet said a 6 week check.

I have a
mirena
to slow the growth, but as it was only one mass which has merged with another I’m not convinced this has helped. Is it worth ditching the
mirena
and trying? What is the potential issue with pushing to get it removed?

Severe bowel endo symptoms - offered zoladex after lap found no endo - advice needed
My consultant gynae (who is only a general gynae, not an endo expert) keeps telling me that my symptoms have no relation to bowel or bladder endo, and only tells me to keep my
mirena
coil in and to consider zoladex.

NHS Waiting Times
I also have a
Mirena
coil fitted (from the same time). I’ve recently moved to the West Midlands and have been fighting to be referred to gynae since August 2021 when I moved here. Finally managed to get a referral but first appointment they have is August 2023.

Is the mirena coil making me this way??
Hi, I have had the Kiera coil fitted 18 months since having my 3rd laparoscopy for severe endo. Everything has been fine , my period stopped but for the last 3/4 I have had pain again, my moods are horrendous and my passion for life and tolerance for people is thin! As well as the weight gain and acne

Tissue chunks Mirena Coil
This is my second time around with the coil the first time I was bleeding insanely with large chunks of my uterus coming out. I needed up getting the coil removed as I developed a cyst that popped and was rushed to hospital. Currently I had the coil inserted a 2 months ago I haven’t stopped spotting

Hi loves, this is my first post on here and I’m really looking for some advice. I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2017 via laparoscopy by my local hospital gynaecology team. Advice Please!!
Hormones; I currently have the
Mirena
coil but had it inserted 3 years ago, which she thinks needs to be changed. Initially I’ve refused to have another one due to how traumatic it was at the GP, but she has assured me that there’s sedative and penthrox/entonox options as she would be doing it.

Feeling so lost and Alone!
Undiagnosed but suspected Endo GP tried to fit
mirena
coil a few weeks back but couldn't measure as my womb neck was too tight. She wants to try again this Friday with local but I am so scared. The last one made me suffer for days and I just don't know what to do.
