Hi am recieving treatment for endometrial hyperplasia without atypia had another mirena coil fitted yesterday. Was absolutely horrible again 😢
I was in soo much pain 😩
I had to have some local anasthetic,so today I feel lousy. So tired and super crampy, I am also getting pain in my lower back and pelvis left side this time, which I didn't get before, hopefully this one stays in.
If anyone reads this who is going through the same treatment can you msg me 🙏 thanks for reading x

So sorry to hear this. I had a Mirena fitted at the same time as an endometrial resection to remove a polyp. Fine as under GA, but then I had awful bleeding due to the coil and then it slipped down so I had it removed and didn't want another after all that! I hope you get the pain relief you need and the Mirena will ultimately help you, it seems to for many women.
My first Mirena coil insertion for Endometrial Ca (now downgraded to high grade atypical hyperplasia) was done without any pain relief or analgesia was very painful. The second with local anaesthetic injections into my cervix was much better.
Like you I had horrible pain, cramps & tiredness afterwards but it settled after a few days.
Hopefully things will settle for you soon & the Mirena won’t cause you further trouble. x
I too have endometrial hyperplasia. Not sure what kind but have to have biopsys. I had a coil fitted in December. I suffer pain most days now but on the plus side at least I'm not bleeding to death 😬 apparently it can take up to 6 months to settle. So fingers crossed for us both x
I'm not experiencing many symptoms now thanks god x I feel like I'm going to get a bleed soon as keep getting crams and odd bit of spotting x my last coil settled down after 3 months but then came out aha x so fingers crossed this one decides to stay in x hope your biopsies come back ok fingers 🤞 xxxx
Thank you. I've never had a coil before so it's all new to me. I wasn't expecting to have pain though. Still is has only been 3 months so need to give it a chance. I guess. Supposed to be going back in June for more biopsys x
