UTI after mirena fitting
Is it normal to get a UTI after getting the
mirena
fitted? I had it fitted on Tuesday and been in agony ever since but today I’ve woken up feeling like I’ve got a water infection. Going to test my wee when I get to work (work in a hospital) and then decide whether to ring the GP or not

Is there other alternative treatments out there for women that sufferer from endometriosis rather than the pill or the Mirena coil?
So the hospital had fitted me with the
Mirena
coil. I only have two problems with the
Mirena
coil. One each month when spotting, I get really bad cystitis pains. Also I still get stabbing sensations, like I have swallowed a little razor and its sits inside my womb digging in.

Newly diagnosed after a episodes of severe pain? Still don't really understand it all...
I am going for a laparoscopy in a month's time to try clear me up a bit and have a
Mirena
coil fitted. The severe pelvic pain episodes I get every so often are really concerning to me.

I don't know if it is the trauma of my op or 4 months of menopause injections or now being on BOTH the
mirena
coil and Cerazette pill or generally having messed up hormones from the drugs or...something else?

Mirena coil side effects...
I’ve had a
mirena
fitted for 4 years and had it changed in March as I felt it wasn’t working as well anymore It’s working well however I have also recently started to get BV and just wondered if it was a side effect or the coil or if it could be something else causing it?

At my wit’s end
Hi - I was diagnosed with endo 15yrs ago after the birth of our first child - I’ve had two rounds of diothermie since then because any hormonal treatment sets off massive migraine with Todd’s Paralysis (like having a stroke). The last diothermie treatment I had ended with a 2 minute cardiac arrest due

Endo on bowel/bladder, frozen pelvis, IBS, citalopram?
Got the
Mirena
coil which has been a godsend for stopping the bleeding and anemia though. I just can't work out what is going on! Living on peppermint tea and hot water bottles, and trying not to eat much!

Another shit weekend
Was feeling better with
Mirena
coil for last 10 days, but checked the strings yesterday when I woke up in agony and I think it's coming out. Rang 111 who told me to go to A&E where doctor there said there was not much he could do.

Uterine thickness
I went to my gynaecologist yesterday as I was experiencing painful intercourse, so he did a internal scan and said that my lining of the uterus was too thick as I also have the coil (
Mirena
) which should be suppressing the oestrogen. Has anyone else experienced this and know why? X

Zoladex Injection - anyone else?
Off to get this today to ‘shut down’ my periods etc for 3 months to see if the pain I still have after 2 laps and the
mirena
coil is definitely Endo/Gyne related - has anyone recently had this same injection? How has it been?

Symptoms of confirmed endometriosis?!
Could anyone share with me if they’ve had the same symptoms and whether they’d recommend the
mirena
coil as opposed to surgery too or whether I should do both? I realise my symptoms aren’t as severe as some so I’ve always dismissed my issues but it does interfere with my daily life.

Undiagnosed pelvic pain ?
I have the
mirena
coil in so don't have periods and was worried my symptoms could be ectopic but I have had a pgt done and it was negative. Yesterday I lost alot of really thick mucus similar to the mucus plug you lose during pregnancy but no sign of any blood in it.

Coping methods for pain and mental health with endo?
After 11 years of going back and forth to doctors and being dismissed, after having issues with pill being discontinued and several others having severe side effects they suggested I got a
mirena
. Week after having it fitted I developed severe debilitating pain, almost worse than having a period.

Should I request to have laparoscopy?
After this she suggested
Mirena
coil but said she would put it in under general anaesthetic as I am not sexually active and it would be very painful otherwise. She did a d&c and a hysteroscopy before she inserted the coil and said everything was okay.
