Could my symptoms be Endo?
Prior to the pandemic I had been referred to get the
mirena
IUD fitted, but this has now been delayed. Despite all of this, the word endometriosis has never been mentioned by any of the countless GP's I've seen. Should it have been?

Bleeding after sex
I already have the
mirena
coil which is starting to help with the heaviness and agony of my periods so I didn't expect any further treatment but surely he should have given me some kind of test or examination to rule out causes of bleeding after sex other than endometriosis?

My endo flared up again in Jan 2020 after having the
mirena
removed, by June I couldn't manage the symptoms myself so i spoke to my GP. They wanted to prescribe meds I'd taken before, that didn't work and I explained this.

Mirena Coil removal issue
Hi all, Me and partner have decided we want to try for a baby. So I’ve been for my coil removing today at the doctors. But unfortunately the doctor couldn’t remove it as she couldn’t find the strings, I thought this would be an issue as my past smears my strings weren’t located. I had to have ultrasounds

Hopeless
Since then my symptoms have got worse, I am back on the pill as the
mirena
didn't suit me and I feel I am cursed for the rest of my life. For 2 weeks of the month my back is in agony, my stomach is so bloated I look 5 months pregnant and my emotions are so low I cry all day.

Newly Diagnosed + New Hormones
I was on a double dose of progesterone pre surgery for 3 years(ish) and I have now come off this and have the
Mirena
Coil fitted. My question is regarding symptoms and anything I can do to help them.

2 months post lap + mirena insertion
I had the
mirena
coil inserted and my consultant assured me that as my endo was removed (ablation) I would no longer suffer any painful symptoms. I find I’m still in quite a lot of pain with the same symptoms I had before my lap.

Anyone pregnant on more a coil?
Any ladies out there been pregnant while on the
mirena
? Freaking out a bit here had some symptoms of pregnancy (mainly breast tenderness) which isn’t normal for me unless pregnant. So took a test and I could see the faintest of faint lines but it’s on 2 tests.

Follow up after op. Not sure what to do next now?! Any advice?
Is it unreasonable that I was hoping for more than just try the
mirena
coil, mini pill or zodalex injections. Which I then said well I want to start trying for a baby soon to then be told that’s a good thing because pregnancy quite often suppresses symptoms.

Birth control issues
I am now trying the
mirena
coil I had it fitted 6 weeks ago and I am still bleeding. I have been bleeding non stop ( not always fresh blood) probably since Feb 2020 . I been getting on and off pain around my hips and it can be quite painful. I am definitely not pregnant and nor do I want to be.

Running out of Endometriosis treatment options! Are there any more out there?
Hi all, I was diagnosed with endometriosis last May through a diagnostic laparoscopy, with
Mirena
coil inserted during the op. That has been found to not be sufficient enough alone to combat the endo that still remains and it’s started to grow back on one of my ovaries.

Advice about referral and the right thing to say
She had only bad things to say about a laparoscopy She suggested going back on the pill or being fitted with the
Mirena
Coil, or taking paracetamol!!! -just pain management, not about finding the cause.

I'm new here - Getting pregnant with Endo.
I had a
mirena
coil fitted to help prevent it growing back. I am now married and we are trying for a baby! Coil was removed in June 2020 and we have been trying ever since. We are both young and healthy so everywhere says you should be able to get pregnant in the first 12 months.
