I'm new here - Getting pregnant with Endo.

Hello,

I was diagnosed with Endo around 5 years ago. I was having surgery to remove ovarian cysts when they also spotted the Endo and performed a laparoscopy. I had a mirena coil fitted to help prevent it growing back.

I am now married and we are trying for a baby! Coil was removed in June 2020 and we have been trying ever since. We are both young and healthy so everywhere says you should be able to get pregnant in the first 12 months. But as each month passes I am feeling more worried that my endo means I can't :(

Just wondered if anyone had any tips, advice, or is a similar position to me.

xx

Hi Tulip27,I will pray for you, but pregnancy is hard at the best of times but with endometriosis it becomes a bit more trickier,

So try not to worry and keep a positive mental attitude as this will help you overall,

But also your fertility clinicians should be able to give you the best advice,

Also have you been placed on clomid yet?? This medicine is used to double or triple your eggs and stand a higher chance of getting pregnant,

Just something to check with your clinicians in the fertility clinic.

Good luck and keep your spirits up

Hopefully good news to prevaile soon

Thanks so much for your reply 💞

I am not on that, but I think I will try and book in at my Doctor's to see if I can discuss my options with them.

Ok but if your trying for a baby, you should be under the care of fertility gynecologist,So thus medicine would only be given by FG,

You should speak to your GP to be referred to FG,

Well take care and fingers crossed 🤞

Hi there,

Completely understand how tough it is to try to conceive with endo. I was in the same position a year or two ago before falling pregnant with my little one :)

I was advised by my laparoscopic surgeon that if I hadn't fallen pregnant within 6 months to start looking into other options such as more surgery or IVF due to waiting times.

It took us about a year and we conceived about a week after we had our first IVF consultation! Talk about timing.

It's not the easiest but try to keep positive and relaxed and make sure you're looking after yourself :) Wishing you all the best! 🤞🏻
