New diagnosis how to cope? General advice
The sharp stabbing has mostly gone but I have some residual throbbing (which I assume is endo since my period is late and won't see to start) To help delay lesions I was offered
mirena
while having the lap but I am not keen I'd prefer a pill as if side effects can just stop.

Period returned 7 weeks after giving birth despite breast feeding - is this related to endometriosis?
The doctor is suggesting the
mirena
coil this time as tried the pill and depo injection but didn’t get on with them. I was on a strict Endo diet when I fell pregnant but I lost so much weight on it and was still in a lot of pain I don’t think that’s the answer on it’s own this time.

Dienogest with mirena coil
I had a 2nd laparoscopy in March 2021 where I had the
mirena
fitted at the same time. I had bleeding for 6 months after and I started to get pain again when my consultant informed me I could take dienogest 2mg alongside which could help settle the pain.

Endo using mirena coil and hair loss
Hello, I have endo and polycystic ovaries and I’m using the
mirena
coil to treat this. However I have hair loss and have lost a lot of hair in the back of my head. Has anyone ever experienced hair loss with the coil? If so what have you done for treatment? Thanks

fibro, meds and pregnancy
Hi guys I'm pretty worried what the next few weeks are going to look like for me. I asked the GP to do a meds review a few months ago as I was having the marina coil removed, this included 600mg of prcegablin a day. I was told this was safe during pregnancy so got on with my life. My GP phoned

Mirena Coil and Bowel/Abdomen Pain
I had the
Mirena
Coil fitted on March 18th. Since then I have been on antibiotics due to concerns over an infection (swabs came back clear though) and severe abdominal pain. Initially the pain felt like intense menstrual cramps, however know it is more like sharp bowel pain.

How difficult is it to diagnose Adenomyosis?
Gynae referred me to the endometriosis team, where i was told i was too overweight for a Lap so was given the
Mirena
coil and reviewed for a few years. After becoming sick of this routine, i paid for a gastric bypass to lose weight. Ultimately, I had an MRI in May 2021 which showed some ?

Does anyone else feel like this who has had
mirena
? I have a date booked to remove it as I just want to go back to normal and 🤞🏼 will be planning for our first baby next year. #

Does Mirena cause weight gain?
I am terrified to try the
mirena
and am considering backing out after hearing it apparently causes bad weight gain. It's the same hormone as Cerelle, and I haven't gained weight on that pill - does this mean maybe I'll be fine?

1 week post laparoscopy and the pelvic Pain is so bad!
I'm so worried that the
mirena
isn't right for me and that's what's causing the issues. Maybe I'm just over thinking it. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you!

Menopause
Have g p appt next week and am on citalopram with
mirena
and oestrogen gel. I am feeling lost and anxious. The fact that I worked on a covid unit as a nurse throughout lockdown hasn’t helped. Just wondered if anyone had any tips Would be really grateful x

Post-Prostap - When will my period start again?
I also have the
Mirena
coil (which has never stopped my periods before). Has anyone else experienced this? I'm just fed up with being on edge that I am going to start at any given point. Thank you :)

Having mirena coil fitted
I had a
mirena
coil fitted when I was 18 but it was during my laparoscopy so I obviously wasn’t aware of it being inserted. Some complications and changes, it ended up ‘falling’ down. Then tried the implant and then the pill.

Laparoscopy - Uterine perforation
A perforation of my uterus occurred during the dilation, which leads me to believe my ‘simple’ op became quite risky very quickly. 6 weeks on, I have been offered the
mirena
coil for symptoms as it couldn’t be fitted during the op due to the complication.

Feeling a bit lost after being ditched by hospital/GP after surgery/diagnosis
She did say something about recommending hormonal contraception like the
Mirena
coil, but said my GP would speak to me about it. I got a copy of my hospital letter as I left (not much information except mild endometriosis, and that they had discharged me with some painkillers).

Mirena coil side effects
I went to a dermatologist yesterday and he said it’s my hormones possibly caused by the coil and he would never recommend the
mirena
. A previous dermatologist also told me this before I got it in but I’d no idea how much I’d be affected by it!

so fed up!
Or, having the
mirena
coil fitted- which I’ve read is contraindicated with fibroids, endometriomas etc, which I have. So, if anyone has had a similar experience but was offered a different solution I’d really appreciate hearing about it.

Some good news - Laparoscopy success!
I also agreed to get a
Mirena
coil fitted as I had the implant but as I'm over 90kg, the implant might not be as effective apparently It's been about a month since surgery, and although I didn't realise at first, it's been weird not being in pain in my stomach all month in one way or another.

Can a 3 year old MIRENA coil cause thrush symptoms.
I’ve had the
mirena
coil for the last 3 and a half years. I got this after being diagnosed with PCOS at an early age and not having much luck with the pill.
