Hello, I am 22 years old (diagnosed with endometriosis at 18). I received prostap injections from March to November 2021, as of yet (May 2022) I still haven't had a period. A gynie said in February to expect it any day, but three months later - nothing. I also have the Mirena coil (which has never stopped my periods before). Has anyone else experienced this? I'm just fed up with being on edge that I am going to start at any given point. Thank you

Hi BetyBoopa
Nice to hear from you! Sorry you're experiencing this uncertainty around when your period might suddenly arrive, I can understand how this is making you feel on edge. Hopefully others will be able to share their experiences.
If you'd like to connect with people in your local area who may be going through the same thing, Endometriosis UK has support groups across the country run by friendly volunteers who also have endo. You can read more here: endometriosis-uk.org/find-a...
Hope things settle with your cycle soon.
Take care,
Claudia
Hi Betty
Sorry to hear that you are going through this. I suggest you make an appointment with your GP or see your Gynae Consultant regarding this issue. It maybe something else that's delaying your periods. I had the mirena coil but I had no periods at all and I was literally living life! Now that me and hubby are trying for a baby it's a nightmare having periods again!
hi, i believe i had the same injections in 2013 (after years of long periods, i'd had enough, and asked my local doctor to help me). I stopped periods about 3 months in into the 6 month course of injections. I haven't had a period since then, and i am so happy now. I've saved a ton of money, not having to buy sanitary towels, so all in all its happy. The only downside to it, is once you go through the menopause, you can't go back and you'll never be able to have children. Well, i'll never get a fella, so having a baby is not on the cards for me and i'd had enough by 2013. Don't worry about it, if you don't have a period after 6 months, you never will again. Well i haven't bled since 2013, best wishes, val
