I was on
microgynon
as a teenager but I have been reading Yasmin is good for people with PCOS but just wanted some insight :) Thanks very much!

Am so it begins … again 😂
Well that’s the first scan down I’ve to come of
microgynon
today and wait for lady fairy to arrive. Then the jabbies begin. I wish everyone on here sooo much love and baby dust. Whatever stage you are at.

Anyone going through the same thing...?
heavy periods, I do suffer alot of pelvic pain and really bad mood swings throughout the month which has got worse as I've got older , I'm now 39, I saw my gynecologist a few months ago and he said my only option to maybe relieve the pain is a hysterectomy, he isn't keen on doing that before I try

Switching Pills
After speaking to my consultant earlier this morning he has suggested changing my pill from
Microgynon
to Yasmin due to bleeding when taking back to back pack and to increase my hormone levels to hopefully stop this from happening.

No period after failed IVF
Has anyone been asked to go on
Microgynon
to help bring a period?? They've given me the option to do that or wait for it to start again naturally. Any thoughts?? X

Microgynon and Mirena Coil together? How did you get on?
I have been instructed to take the pill (despite having the mirena) until my 2nd lap (no date as yet) but after 3 days I have been sick every morning and am feeling awful! Anyone else taken both?

First month on Microgynon and no period?
I have just done 21 days on
Microgynon
and now on my 6th day without taking the pill and no period yet? Is this ok? and would you expect to bleed on the first ‘no pill’ or am I being inpatient? Wanting to start a family next year and want to have my periods?

What sort of things do you use as a coping method for pain?? I’m desperate for help!
I’m currently taking the
microgynon
pill and I’m up to my eye balls on painkillers, which have little effect on me. I use all different home remedy’s such as a water bottle or a hot bath but I cannot be pain free for at least a couple of hours.

Shall I still carry on with going back to back with the pill or shall I have a break and a bleed?
After a baseline scan my lining was 8.5mm so my consultant suggested 10 days on Northisterone then start taking the pill (
Microgynon
). I asked if I could take it back to back because when I have periods I am really unwell and it was affecting my work.

3rd cycle, Long protocol IVF
Today I’m starting
microgynon
till the 4th of May when I’ll be starting the Buserelin . If only it was a tablet we could take for the whole protocol 🙈 Feeling apprehensive and nervous about injecting again .

I'm new here and feeling so, so defeated :(
I'll try and summarise: Started periods at 10, started with bad pain and flooding at 12-ish Drs fobbed me off until 14, when they tried the pill (I can't remember which one, I have had
microgynon
and cerazette) - as I can remember, this did help but then sent my BP sky-high so I had to come off it.

What's the best pill to regulate periods and reduce period pain?
My 20yr old daughter has been on
Microgynon
since she was 15 because of very heavy periods and extreme period pain. We think it adversely affects her mental health so want to consider an alternative. Can anyone advise or help? Thanks

Any pill recommendations instead of Provera?
Can anyone recommend another combined pill other than
Microgynon
that may help? It would seem that one with higher progesterons is more beneficial? She is taking A Level assessments soon and has missed so much schooling due to ill health in the last 6 months.

Low Oestradiol 4 months after stopping birth control?
I stopped '
microgynon
30' 16 weeks before the test. Should I be worried about this? Is it normal for it to take so long for hormones to adjust? Some more info: was on the pill for 5 years, always had painful heavy periods, I've been having periods since stopping and they've been every 2-5 weeks.

Best contraceptive with Hashimoto's/hypothyroidism?
I've only ever taken Cerazette and
microgynon
. Both seemed to cause mood issues like anger, volatility and depression, but I only took them at times in my life where I was hypothyroid but undiagnosed or undermedicated and had mood issues anyway.

The Pill
So I’ve not been put on the
microgynon
pill which has had no side effects so far... however like many others I found myself on the wrong side of the internet🙄 and seen things Im now worried about Such as the increased risk of breast cancer and the huge weight gain after coming off.
