Mood swings

So me and hubs are starting our final round of IVF. Needless to say that brings with it a whole load of emotions. However, I started microgynon on Friday and since then i have been very tense (grumpy) which i have had before but i am also crying at everything! I cannot remember experiencing this before but last round was in February and can’t remember. Is it the pill, the stress of one more go or a combination? Feel like a bit of a basket case!

Aw sorry to hear this! It’s probably a combo! May I ask why this is your last round, is it due to age? I hope this will be the one for you! ✨💕

Not age just found it has taken a toll. This will be my 5th round. We had a miscarriage with round 3 and that really knocked me for 6. Did another round but then took a much need break for a few months. Hard decision to come to but it hasn’t felt like living the last couple of years we have done this. I am really hoping it works xx

Hi Judy. Oh dear! Most of the drugs used are hormones that act on the pituitary gland in the brain, and can cause symptoms of PMT and even temporary menopausal symptoms. Once you change to the next stage, hopefully you will feel better. Good luck! Diane

It’s likely a combination of the two, though I was on microgynon years back to control my periods and it made me very emotional and I experienced quite low moods so I had to come if it. I know it effects people differently but that was my experience of it. Wishing you so much luck with your final round 🍀🌈💗🤞🏻 Xxxx
