3rd cycle, Long protocol IVF

Hello,

So the beginning of Feb 21 my second cycle was “abandoned” two days before egg collection due to poor response and a newly arrived polyp needing to be removed.

End of March I had my hysteroscopy and my medication has arrived this morning for my next cycle!

Long protocol again, but a few changes to my meds.

Microgynon for 21days (not done this before)

Then it’s Buserelin.... then Fostimon .

Lubion and cyclogest. Is it better having both? Tbh my heart sunk a bit when I seen lubion, I really didn’t like that the first cycle.

So that’s it, my period arrived in the night , only a day late , was expecting longer after hysteroscopy .

Today I’m starting microgynon till the 4th of May when I’ll be starting the Buserelin . If only it was a tablet we could take for the whole protocol 🙈

Feeling apprehensive and nervous about injecting again . Although I’m so glad I’m not in that limbo stage not knowing when I’ll be starting, I’m grateful for that , just trying to be positive.

Is anyone on , starting or had similar protocol. Hoping this is the winning combination and praying it’s successful this time.

I must admit I haven't heard of microgynon or fostimon but I just wanted to wish you the best of luck for your new cycle! It's great that some changes have been made as hopefully they will give you a more positive outcome 🤞🏻🍀 Hope all goes well for you xx

Hello thank you. Microgynon is the contraceptive pill. So strange taking it as it was the pill I was taking for years when trying not to get pregnant . Xxx

Oh ok! There are sooo many options for IVF! Thanks for explaining! 😁 I would have been lost without this fertility network tbh - so much more helpful than the clinic for useful information! It's so weird taking something to stop ovulation isn't it, when normally we're counting down to it! xx

I've just done the short protocol which the first implant came back as neg yesterday but they had changed away from Cyclogest which I felt I did a lot better on! It is messy as hell but seems a lot more stable and doesn't give me the side effects that the utrogest gave me so I would definately recommend the cyclogest! Hello, my cycle was abandoned last month after taking Busurlin. I was told that there was either a fibroid or polyp in the cavity that needs to be removed. Since stopping the Busurlin I have not had a period. It is a week late now. Is this normal?

I was on my last day of stims so I was on both Buserelin and meriofert when I stopped and It was day 36 of injecting, very long . I stopped on the 1st Feb and my period came 10 days later exactly and this was around the time it was due . I’ve no idea what’s normal or not to be honest. Sorry.

And sorry about the cycle been cancelled. It’s horrible but so much better in the long term for you to get the polyp sorted . Xxx

My cervix was irritated using Lubion so the centre have give me the lubion injections so this doesn’t happen. Hope all goes well x
