Concerned - bleeding after sex/masturbation & other symptoms
He prescribed me
Metrogel
. I didn't realize until later that
Metrogel
is the same as Flagyl and it's also super expensive. I called today to see if they can change out the medication for something different and cheaper. Anyway, my concern is that it's not just bacterial vaginosis.

Bilateral and salpingo-oophorectomy booked for Monday
Hello everyone, I'm new here, and grateful for any support or suggestions. I posted this also on the MyOvacome group but possibly the post is more appropriate here. I went into A&E about 6 weeks ago with what I understood to be classic kidney stone pain. To cut a long story short they found a suspicious

Suspicious ovarian cyst: Bilateral and salpingo-oophorectomy booked for Monday
Hello everyone, I'm new here, and grateful for any support or suggestions. I went into A&E about 6 weeks ago with what I understood to be classic kidney stone pain. To cut a long story short they found a suspicious 5 cm cyst on my right ovary (and polyps on gallbladder). The ultrasound report is as follows

Surgical menopause symptoms
Hello, Was wondering if anyone could help me out with some advice or similar experiences. I had a hysterectomy a few years ago and then had an oophorectomy in February this year, both due to endometriosis. I started on HRT (oestrogel) immediately after the oophorectomy and had no menopausal symptoms

Pelvic Pain, Gastro????
Before that, I was told I had Vaginitis and given
Metrogel
(spelling?). I took the nightly course of antibiotics for that. I’m on Junel birth control where I take it repeatedly without having a period.

Bad cramps on progesterone after bfn
Hi I've tested negative at 6 and 8dp5dt. For the last four days I've been having very painful cramps in ovaries and back. I suspect this is down to the progesterone combined with constipation (sorry tmi). I'm also on the Estrogel patches as it was DE treatment so it's definitely not my ovaries recovering

Can doctors miss PID?
Ive taken macrobid, cipro, doxycycline, and 2 rounds of levaquin...as well as
metrogel
and clindamycin cream...and a week of diflucan for yeast. I assume that if that all didn't cure this issue, then there's something more sinister causing all this. Can anyone relate?

Menopause: how to know if your symptoms are thyroid-related or not?
It's been six weeks since my last period and no signs of it coming back. My gynaecologist prescribed Femoston 2/10 for me, saying that oral hormones are better absorbed by the body than transdermal estrogen (I was on Estrogel until recently). It's only my fifth day on Femoston, and I've read that it

Does DHEA balance your hormones? Have you used DHEA? Has anyone had a NHS test for DHEA levels?
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's and mild Hypothyroidism, started on 25mcg and now on 75mcg Levothyroxine, at the same time a gynaecologist discovered I had a fairly big fibroid and my iron level was low. I had a partial hysterectomy (uterus only taken out) 5 years ago. Had no HRT at that time because

HRT questions
I'd like to hear from those of you who successfully used HRT (synthetic or natural), those who did and did not like it (for whatever reason), and those who never tried it for whatever reason: I've been trying lately to figure out if, when, and how to use HRT...it's often said that you should talk to

Synthetic HRT?
My gynaecologist suggested we try Femoston 2/10 for hot flushes. Has anyone tried this or a similar drug? For the past few years, I've been on Oestrogel and Utrogestan prescribed by Hertoghe doctor, but the hot flushes have been getting worse lately and therefore my gynaecologist suggested we try Femoston

Estrogel hrt and additional vagifem
Hi. I have a history of hrt intolerance and having had a total hysterectomy I can now just about tolerate estrogel in a very low dose. I have been prescribed vagifem 10mcg and wondered if this will effect my Estrogen levels, despite the gynae saying it won't. Any response or feedback gratefully received

HRT advice needed
I have an appointment with my OB-Gyn today to discuss HRT. I have been on Estrogel and Utrogestan 200 mg for the past six years (prescribed by Hertoghe doctor).
