I just had my first Cardioversion on Saturday; all went well after a pretty severe episode that morning. The doctor put me on Metoprolol Succinate. Does anybody have any experience with this regarding side effects and effectiveness? Thank you!

it can get you tired and besides that i have no problem with metoprolol
Ugh. As far as effectiveness goes, it worked pretty well for me. But, it made me feel very tired (to the point where I did not feel it was safe for me to drive), and I had trouble focusing on my work. But, that's just me. Some of the others here may have had a better experience. Best wishes to you! - KeL
I am in persistent AF, can no longer be cardioverted. Have been on Metoporol since 09. It does control my rate but I do feel really drug out and out of breath most of the time. Was diagnosed with CHF in the last couple years which is caused by AF stiffening the heart wall muscles
I have it as pill in pocket , only needed it once was very good , my few attacks have been in bed so have probably slept off any possible side affects , good luck for future x
