Hey all, just wondering if anyone has taken metoprolol while pregnant ?

I have been taking them for a year and just found out I’m 5 weeks pregnant. One doctor has told me I can stay on it and it’s safe, another doctor told me no and that I need to stop.

If you google metoprolol, you will see on the NHS website that it is not recommended during pregnancy. There is an alternative that is recommended, labetalol. May be worth speaking to your doctor again.

My pregnant daughter was prescribed labetalol as Mrsvmb says - why not ring your. GP and ask to change. It is most unhelpful when you get mixed opinions from the professionals.
