Currently on 4mg of methylprednisolone. It's been 2 years since diagnosis. Shoulders crunch, collarbone cracks and extremely weak. Normal?
What's going on. this is extremely frightening?

Differences in corticosteriods?
So it seemed, initially, staying on
methylprednisolone
was a good choice. But the cushinoid symptoms have really got me feeling down. If a different corticosteroid would be better, I'm game. Any insight would be most welcome.

Why the flare up?
Was feeling fairly good, currently on 10mg
Methylprednisolone
. I split my dose, 8 in am and 2 in pm. After a 4 1/2 hr car trip, stopping 4x to walk around and stretch arrived at destination. Woke to what I would call severe pain in wrists and shoulders.

Are high doses of prednisone dangerous for my cirrhosis?
I saw my dentist, who was completely puzzled and sent me to an oral surgeon, who put me on
methylprednisolone
6 day pack. It looked like it was going away by the 6th day, but then came back with a vengeance.

Dx 4 yrs ago w/asthma, exacerbations last weeks
Methylprednisolone
, on the other hand, worked wonders. About 24 hours after taking my last dose of steroids, my dyspnea and cough are gone. Typically, I feel like I'm teetering on the brink of an asthma flare all year long.

Hello all, newly diagnosed...I just wondered if anyone has had Methylprednisolone injections?
Hi. I’ve been reading posts on the forum for a while but this is the first time I’ve posted. My problems started in December with knee pains, then feet and now my hands are so painful. Visits to my GP were unsuccessful as my blood tests didn’t show inflammation and he wouldn’t refer me to a specialist

Rituxan / Rituximab -- gastrointestinal side effects or coinciding viral infection?
The new dosing seemed to work to my benefit and my second round of infusions in 2017 left me symptom-free (however
methylprednisolone
was added to my medications to combat joint pain). I underwent my first of two infusions this past Monday.

Yonsa vs Zytiga
"Yonsa was administered with
methylprednisolone
at 4 mg and Zytiga was given with prednisone at 5 mg." "Four patients had a serious AE in the Yonsa group compared with 7 in the Zytiga arm, two of which led to death (prostate cancer progression and myocardial infarction)."

How are you?
Rheumy says he is sure I will need IV
methylprednisolone
, given repeatedly over a couple of weeks. I've spoken to both him and my endo about the horrible reaction I have to oral pred doses over 4mg (shaking, sweats, nausea, racing heart etc) .
