Spare B12 ampoules
I have 12 (1x8 + 1x4) ampoules of hydroxocobalamin (1mg in 2ml - Depot Hevert, bought from amazon.de) and 9 ampoules of
methylcobalamin

Supplements
Having followed you all, I believe I need to be at top of range so am now supplementing with sublingual
methylcobalamin
1000mcg. Is this a good thing? Last question, my recent folate test was 6.1 (range 2.7 to 15). Again I seem to be only be midrange, and GP won't treat.

B12 recovery
I've just started taking Jarrow 5000mcg
methylcobalamin
(taking sub-lingually) after being given 50mcg of cyanocobalamin by my doctor. My B12 was/is 284 (190-900) My question is this - how soon could I expect to feel some effect from taking these. Would it be a week, a month? Any ideas please?

Skin cream vs patch
Now I see that
methylcobalamin
is readily available in topical skin creams (appx 700mcg per dose) and patches (1 patch per week, 1000mcg). Has anyone had good/bad/better experiences with either? Thank you

Confusion rules! :-(
He said that as these come under a food supliment and not medical , there is nothing to ensure that what is in the bottle is a)
Methylcobalamin
b) containing as much as it says c) what it might be mixed with!

, maybe 5000 to start with, how long should I go without them before the blood test the gp wants me to have? How long does it stay in your system? Thanks everyone - don't know what I'd do without you all :)

Bad reaction to Methylcobalamin tablets - not sure whether to self inject Methylcobalamin now!
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with PA / low B12 a month ago, my blood levels were 148 (should be between 180 - 1000 apparently). I'd been feeling ill for about 3 weeks before I was diagnosed. I had the five loading doses of Hydrox, I don't feel much better but it's early days. My problem is my doctor

Really scared as tremor getting worse
As suggested, I alternated my hydroxocobalamin with
methylcobalamin
injections, also making sure I have sublingual B12 (PAS suggested this). Taking folic acid and iron.

Cramps and tremors
I've heard
methylcobalamin
is better with neurological symptoms, but my GP says its not available in UK? Anyone know a safe, reliable supplier in UK? Has anyone experienced similar symptoms and made a full recovery? I'm a Yoga teacher, so to say this is impacting my livelyhood is an understatement!
