B12 recovery

I've just started taking Jarrow 5000mcg methylcobalamin (taking sub-lingually) after being given 50mcg of cyanocobalamin by my doctor.

My B12 was/is 284 (190-900)

My question is this - how soon could I expect to feel some effect from taking these.

Would it be a week, a month? Any ideas please?

Matty220, probably longer, maybe 6-8 weeks, and then you can reduce dose to 1,000mcg to maintain levels.

with my son, the dr had him to take a b complex at the same time since b vitamins work best together and vit d3 5000 a day and a good grade multi daily and fish oil omega 3. after 2 months he was able to lower the b12 to 1000 a day under the tongue......hence vit d deficiency will also make you feel very tired so I hope your dr checked that also.....
