Mercilon

I’ve been taking the combined pill (Mercilon) back to back for three months and on Monday stopped taking for my scheduled 7 day break. I’m yet to see any significant ‘period’ type bleed, just not sure why?

The Pills I have been taking is last year are: -Cerazette (0.075mg progestogen) -Mercilon (0.15 mg + 0.02 mg) -Visane (2 mg dienogest) - not a pill, but horrible, I was bleeding for 1 month. I always have a lot of cramps when I'm taking the pill.

Stage 3 Endometriosis, been on the Pill (Mercilon for 4+ years ) been off since end of April. My skin is awfulllll Came off the pill as I don’t want it to contribute to stalling my fertility chances now I finally have my diagnosis.

Current medications I take are: Euthyrox 50mcg daily Probiotic Multivitamin Mercilon (contraceptive pill) I would like some advice on the way forward. Not sure which is the best way forward for me to stabilize my thyroid hormone levels. Also feeling worried about my total cholesterol and HB1AC.

Dr has told me continue taking Euthyrox 0.05mg and gynae advised me to switch from minesse to mercilon. I am very worried about my hair fall and my menstrual cycle. Any advice on what should I do? Thanks

Im on the Mercilon pill.

I was under the impression that it would work the same way as the combined pill just a higher dose of oestrogen compared to the pill I was on (mercilon) and straight to the bloodstream instead.

My doctor has prescribed Mercilon which I understand is a ‘low dose’ contraceptive. However, I’m slightly confused. Mercilon, although it contains estrogen, contains 150mg of Desogestrel. Cerazette only contained 75mg Desogestrel..so is Mercilon going to make me twice as crazy?!

Mercilon? I am generally happy with Lo-Estrin 20, but I want to see if there’s a pill that works for me but that doesn’t cause the side effects (especially low libido!).

I'm now on Mercilon which I believe is very similar to Marvelon but with a lower dose of progestrone. I took my first 3x lot of pills fine, but I am two packets into my second cycle and having a painful bleed before the end of the packet (accompanied by nausea - yay). Has anyone else had this?

After symptoms persisted for a further 3 months I saw my GP who suggested I take another pill called Mercilon and gave me a referral back to my gynaecologist.

I Saw a gynaecologist in July who decided to put me on mercilon and Mefenamic acid to help with this and also said that although all my symptoms link to endometriosis, they looked at my laparoscopy pictures from jan and said it wasn’t that.

He has given me the contraceptive pill (20mg mercilon, low dose oestrogen) and 50mg of levothyroxine.

Just wondering if anyone else is having Zoladex and using mercilon instead on HRT ?,

I also take Levocetirizine (antihistamine) and Mercilon (oral contraceptive). I am 50 years old.

Post operation and I still have this pain but have been limited to 4 periods a year (I'm on the mercilon birth control pill) Do any of you suffer from this pain and what do you do to help it or what has your doctor said?

short fuse pain, it's a shitty circle, trying to remain positive and look for the rainbow in the rain isn't always easy , so we have given up on trying for a baby ( what with having uterus didelphys ) admidst the endo and cysts, so have now decided to go back on the pill, My Dr has just prescribed Mercilon

Im now on Mercilon, I've also been on a couple of others but they didn't work well with me. Im in constant pain on this pill, , literally waking up every night in agony, im debating the injection, but have read it doesn't do anything for Endo to relieve pain etc?

I was prescribed mercilon just over 3 months ago to try to help with relieving my symptoms but since starting I have bled every single day, some days heavier than others.
